Hi  BasiliskOnline,
It's a cool Game jam theme you've got!
But don't you think that this rule kill the game jam concept ?

- You're giving time to create the game and then you said released game can also participate ? If I have a One year of dev dracula game, it would cruch the little 2 weeks games..

(Also : giving more time after deadline is a bit of an insult for people that do their best for finishing in time).

I'm not the jam creator, but I don't think it's a competition, so we don't need to worry about any game "crushing" any other game. As far as giving time after the deadline ends to submit, I think you'll find a lot of tabletop game jams use this rule. Again, since this isn't a competition, the idea isn't to "weed out" entries but to encourage folks to finish a game and share it with the community.

Thank you Andrew, exactly this. This isnt a competition, it's just a place to share alike art with the same themes and vibes and celebrate and boost one another.

Can I make a game for the NES?

Should you wish to and think you can manage doing so in the time limit established, feel free. I will be honest, I often forget that itch is a place primarily for video games, and the jam was primarily focused in the table top sphere of gaming, that being said, I 100% will never complain or discourage a video game or other sort of art being part of these jams!
