-he jumps again, hand on his stabby knife thing-
He was just as startled, when Liam had snuck up on him he had jumped back and ran behind a tree. He peeked his head out from behind it, eyes wide
-he carefully moves closer to him, pulling his knife halfway out of its sheath-

He saw the knife
"W-Wait!"
-he narrows his eyes at him, saying nothing. He puts it back in a little-
"Wait-I-I-I'm not a t-threat, I swear!"
-he goes a little closer-
"How can I be sure... for all i know the moment i drop my weapon you could come up and try to kill me"
"But I'm not armed...!"
