Nice idea and execution! I think the game needed a little more feedback on whether you're still growing or shrinking. The animations are a bit crude but they definitely add to the experience. The sounds are great, next time try to fade them away rather than cutting abruptly. The abstract aesthetic works well, although there's something missing but I can't quite tell what. The checkpoint system was absolutely needed and well realized.
