The roadmap of Custom Home Mapper

I was wandering what is the future of this app? Where is it heading? I was looking for something to map my home and add interactive elements to it and its possible but its just plain pain in the ass.

With custom home mapper mapping walls and objects is simple but as far as i can tell it ends here with some simple games on top. Its early, i know but whats the future? Will it be possible to add assets to the scene like chairs, sofas, beds, perhaps stairs? Will there be interactive objects like placing interactive map, TV/video player, a console like you have which would launch standard quest games etc.

I have played with Spatial and imported objects, objects i designed with Inventor and sell in my shop for people to look at in VR. Still its basic, no way to manipulate with object placement etc.

I am getting this app to support your work, i think its great and i am totally surprised no one else that i know of is doing this type of app.

Developer

hey, thanks! A lot to say, but im on mobile st the moment...

I posted a roadmap a few months back, and am getting close to caught up with that. Im doing a new tower defense prototype and a god game prototype, otherwise working on multiplayer and cleaning up issues with older games. Am very open to suggestions for new directions.

Youll find some basic tables/couch/chair models in the home builder. I plan to double the amount of stuff, so let me know specifically what youre missing. I wanna keep it multiplayer-friendly, so custom user uploaded objects isnt workable right now.  The goal is a smartphone flatscreen app for "visitors" to also join you inside your space.

Im tinkering with a web browser that works inside the program, you can put wherever you want. This might interesting.

I find quest Very limited in terms of personalisation. Probably its limited by the memory. I am mostly talking about home environments. Although we have VR, the home experience is very  2D.

Imagine you can map your room, apartment or a house like in your app, include furniture or other objects you can download or create yourself in CAD, instead of menu you have a portal/doorway to the installed game, TV mapped with Netflix or similar app, e.g. google maps projected on your table(like in that awkward home mapping solution), which displays location of your friends with their VR homes you can visit and play some simple games.

Anyway, the direction is very good and i will certainly enjoy your creation.

Keep up the good work you do!
