Okay i have my save on a text document but i dont know what should i do with that :/

im not really replying but for anyone who came here for a possible answer for the save issue that isnt just... "send us you game files or what ever" i made a video that will show you what ya need

The Game itself saved in txt file format, so that *"save".txt is your actual savegame.

klick loading and choose that *.txt file and press Open? ;-)

LOL i didn't notice the big LOAD button '-' i feel so freking stupid right now. Anyways thanks

i cant... i cant find it in version 8.1??? Actually i dont even know how to save... how to save and load???

You can save and load while inside the game by hitting ESC and using the menu that pops up.

i also have problems with saving. i click the "save" button enter a name for my save. lik "Autonauts save 1" the i click save then it says yes or no. i click yes. but the yes button stay on a dark color (dark grey) i wait a minute but nothing happens. i click it again. still nothing. can someone please help?

I've had a few people report this problem. Could you send me a file called Autonauts_Data/output_log.txt please and I'll see if there's anything useful in there for me to fix the problem? Thanks

i cant find the txt file, where should i look?

(also im on mac osx)

Sorry on Mac it should be something like this ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

Make sure you've just tried saving before you grab this file because it will only show me the information from the last game you played.

i cant find it. when i look it up on my computer it says: "no results"

maybe i cant save because that file is missing?

Ok try saving in a different location. On Mac I believe the default save location is where the game is installed but that's not allowed. So try on the desktop or some other folder.

im having same issue.... yyou need a bloody save screen.. like in normal games that normal people can figure out and is universal

I've been having troubles with my save file too. so you know how you can go out into the white area? well I save the game and when I load it back in, I spawn some were in the white and I can't find the land, I cant use my inventory, and I cant click. what happened?

When you say "go out into the white area" I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean just move the camera off the map? Or are you somehow able to move the player off the map?

so basically what happens, when I save, it saves, but when I try to load it back in all I can do is open the crafting menu, I cant even open my inventory. I used the X to see if I could find my character but it wont do that ether it just wont do anything "." and it sucks cause I had 4 hours of gaming work on it + this game really needs instructions. I spent an hour of those 4 trying to figure out what the hell to do, I was even looking up tutorials and those were all out of date which is so annoying.

Hey Dekni im having the same problem as insain doctor, what am I supposed to do? My screen is all white and I cant do anything but ALT F4

OK it sounds like your save file has something wrong with it. If you send it to me I can see if I can fix it for you. You can use any online file sharing service to do this and post the link here.

I am having trouble with saving my game, when I click the save button the screen goes a little bit gray and does nothing till I hit Esc and go back to the menu.

If you click load does it come up with anything?

it comes up with a folder cinda thing, the files and desktop tiles.

Ok here's a link to a test level https://www.dropbox.com/s/0nwb8e0rli83krp/test.txt?dl=0

If you download that to somewhere safe like on your desktop, then run the game, load this new level. Now when you save it will hopefully work.
