She gets up and immediately falls, as she can now see, her lower half is completely encased in spider webbing. 

Mela: No...I will never abandon her...

???: Oh? Such dedication to your prey...

Mela: She is not my prey. Not anymore...I love her. 

The Jorogumo pauses for a moment before laughing wickedly and cruely 

???: You LOVE her!? Oh, this is rich...you know what happens to yokai who love mortals, don´t you little Kitsune? 

Mela: I am familiar with the tales...and I know the risks.

The Jorogumo stabs Darien in the foot with one of her legs, holding her in place and keeping her from going any farther 

Mela: DARIEN! 

The spider laughs 

???: And what would you do to save her, little fox? What would you sacrifice...?

Despite not being in any pain, she still can´t move. The spider starts slowly dragging her closer to it. 

???: Time´s running out, Kitsune...what will you do to save your love...? 

Mela: ...Anything. E-everything I have...I-I´d give it up for her.

It doesn´t matter. This is big beefy spider lady...she a lot stronger than Darien. 

???: Aw...how noble. Well...since you wish to be among mortals so much...give me your spirit, Kitsune. Give up your powers, your very soul...and become mortal.    

Mela: ...

She stares up at the Jorogumo, eyes wide

???: An intriguing offer, little one...but her soul would taste much better than yours...and I know she´s done some sort of magic to you...I can smell her scent all over you...
