Play this mod for a rebalance of of financial and combat elements for a tighter/tougher game, plus some new quests, enemies, items.

This is the combination of my previous mods plus some new extra features.
- Magic Mirror story quest
- Bandit Queen story quest (unfinished)
- Rebalance for starting in Gorn and Frostford
- Assorted game rebalancing for the combat and economics
- Optional payment system (charity scheme) for players who want a long term money challenge

Recommended for story mode. Not tested in sandbox. Tested with Strive v01.01a. Recommended for play with Randomportraits mod. Tested with ES Expanded sex mod. Not compatible with Arics mod family. Not compatible with Chastity belt mod.

Edit- Feb 2021 - This will fail with Strive v01.01d. Use this version https://itch.io/post/2622626  to run with Strive 1.0d.

Full list of changes

CITIES
Rest is available in cities and villages.
Can meet the chancellor (to start the main quest) in your home town.
Brothel is now always avaialble in your home city.
Main quest step added to quickly raise Frostford reputation (since you can't do Frostford guild quests if it's not your home).
Cook can no longer buy food in Frostfood.
Minor vendor changes in each city.

SLAVE GUILD
Repeatable guild quests are available only in the home city.
New repeatable quests for each city with new completion conditions.
The slave guild has its own shop that sells your essential slavery items. New items tabards added.
Permanent collars with the same effect as leather collars except they are permanent, not an accessory, and come with a text tag.
You can spend TP (50,100) to reduce the away days for slave guild services.
The slaver's guild offers a charity scheme. This is a financial challenge that escalates weekly. It gives no reward. It is entirely optional.
Slave guild has an option to return captives to your mansion.
Can no longer sell untamed monsters to the guild (can still quicksell if you stay outside). Some minor sale price balancing.
Minor changes to the races found in the slave guild.
Can no longer change a slave's specialization by training a new one.
Quicksell does not return ropes.

SLAVES
Level up requests made suitable for Frostford & Gorn with futher rebalancing to make them less obstructive.
New level up requests.
New balanced set of jobs available with different jobs based on your home city.
Sex traits are now important in reducing stress and increasing income from sex jobs.
Prostitution(streetwalking) is always available but can have poor outcomes.
Three quests are available at the brothel to unlock improved prostitution, escort jobs, exotic whore jobs.
Lab assistant job will create base solutions for alchemy.
Sebastian's slave request has less chance of a slow/expensive outcome.

EQUIPMENT
Some weapons and armour changes, generally rebalancing ability point requirements, energy costs. Check these before you buy them!
New items shortbow, spear, and battleaxe with their own effects. Claymore has a new effect.
New item reward in the underdeep library.
Magic scrolls can be found in loot. Gain spell abilities while you are wearing them.
Magic items are named, enchants are simplified, and some items have a standard enchant.
Recipes for beauty potion and hair dye. Minor potion rebalancing.

SPELLS
Guidance returns the party directly to the Mage Guild (Wimborn).
Invigorate removed.
Fear has a 3 turn duration.
Heal, Dream, and Sedation changed slightly.
Acid Spit deals damage over a number of turns.
Spider's web ability can be found on scrolls.
Web, Sedation, and Debilitate all inflict the same effect, Slow.
Sedation can be cast when travelling.
Ability training cost rebalance.

ENEMIES
Enemies have a new ability point generation method that eliminated a few older bugs and will give similar or slightly less AP than guild slaves.
Enemies are created with a range of levels, also some slight level changes to zones.
Bandit populations changed.
Frozen wisps added.
Sandworms added.
Chests can now have a surprise. I'm not telling you what, it's a surprise.

EXPLORING
Panic status (-5 speed) added in combat for slaves with over 100 stress.
Elven Grove connects to Shaliq instead of the Ancient Forest.
Open Road encounter.
Minor changes to forest bandits in Cali's quest.
Taurans have migrated to the plains.
Demons no longer walk the swamp.
Monsters are better at escaping.
Undercity library moved to the tunnels.
Can get lost in the undercity without a ranger.

Pls help, i dont know how to get it running. I put it in the mod folder and applied two times. I use randomportrais mod and expanded sex mod. How can i fix it?

Take a clean install of Strive 1.0a. Unzip the files for these three mods into the mod directory. Start Strive, from the Strive menu take option mods, you should see the three mod titles so select them together and apply. Restart.

Is the store in the slave guild right at the start? If yes i cant fix it

If you go into the slave guild you should see options for shop and charity scheme that are not in the base game.
Have you got any errors reported in the 'godot engine editor' screen that launches at the same time as Strive? Are you sure you started from a clean installation? Have you managed to get other mods working?

Found my mistake, if i unzip filles they get in a double foulder. Thx for help, it is rare that modders help.

is there a chance that it will updated and will be compatible with the chastity mod 1.3?

If someone wanted to do the work then I'm sure it isn't a hard merger, however keeping everything up to date in the future is likely to be a pain and I'm not willing to commit to that (given that Expanded Sex adds good content and has no clashes).

Sweet, I must say while Arics stuff offers loads of fiddly bits to look at, this mod actually makes the economy (somewhat) not broken.

The current version of this mod was intended for Strive v1.0a. The current version of the game is v1.0d. There were many fixes and changes, including an overhaul of several parts of the slave guild. Thus this mod will not work, unless you have the correct version of Strive. I believe, F95 is still hosting v1.0a.

Is this mod now okay with sandbox mod ?

I've never tested it with sandbox so it is unknown.  The magic mirror quest may not start at all in sandbox. Otherwise, free feel to try it out and if there are just one or two glicthes I may fix them sometime.
I'm not sure what you mean by new subspecies? The mod has no new slave races. To move new monsters to another version you would need to add the monster populations into explorationregions.gd, the combat data to combatdata.gd, plus my monsters usually have new abilities and combat effects that need adding to abilities.gd. The latest enemies also have their own simple AI (behavior) function in combat.gd.

damn is not your mod who add some like werewolf, ogre and so damn was sure it was

but yeah i will tell you when i will encouter problem with the use in sandbox and so

then have a good one cause here it's pretty late

okay just to try have try some feature like the shop in the slaveguild of windo, and both in story and sandb got a crash when try to trade with

no message error or anything, crash instant in a sandb save, and on a new story save crash after few second whithout the shop apparing

and crash after wondering some time n(2 screen, 1 encounter)ear wind when cliking on process to the next area

First see Ankmairdor's comment to Mik above about getting the right version. There were changes in Strive 1.0d that do create errors in this mod.

Leo's mod v1.7 tested against Strive ver1.0d, Expanded Sex (for 1.0d), Random Portraits.

This verison also contains
- 1.0d Bugfix - Main Quest lab work has reverted to base game processing (v1.0d). I have lowered the costs for the required lab work.
- Endurance now increases interactions 1 per point, rather than 2 per 2 points.
- Unfinished Bandit Queen quest content in the sea zone. This section has difficulty comparable to the end of the main quest.

Any existing users of version Strive 1.0a should continue without this version. Use this version to run with Strive version 1.0d.

No, version 1.0d is the current version of the first Strive, despite the text saying 1.0a. The current version of Strive: Conquest appears to be roughly 0.4.1b

Nice Mod so far, I was wondering  about the Bandit Queen quest, is it still being worked on? So far im enjoying it.

Unfortunately the writing stalled to the point where I think my Strive development has stopped. There's not enough connected content for another release.

Well that's a shame, I was hoping the parts of it that werent done be out of the way like the tavern at the fishing camp, I do have a question about a weapon I found called "bloodthirster" what are the requirements for using it?

You can find requirements of any item by looking atthe detailed info. Bloodthirster required magic affinity.

That's the thing you see, I have magic affinity ( alot of it ) and it still does not work. After feeding that creature at the end of the game I've racked up like 20 so im guessing its a bug

In version 1.7 it was changed to magic affinity 3 and strength 1. The desccription needs updating to match.

He's right it's bugged; here's the Bloodthirster requirements:

reqs = [{reqstat = 'smaf', oper = 'gte', reqvalue = 3}, {reqstat = 'str', oper = 'gte', reqvalue = 1}],

It requires "str" but the person class only has "sstr", so the better question would by why it isn't causing constant crashing.


For DKRust, you would need to edit the save file to fix the requirements for your Bloodthirster to use it. Fixing the mod files will only fix future items.

This is a new unique item for the mod. It can only be gained the once. New players can edit the Leodata.gd file as Ankmairdor suggested before the weapon is found (replace str with sstr). After the weapon is found it carries its own data in the save game file and would need editing there.

Okay, so I edited my save file and replaced it as you said, and yes that worked thanks for that. I also did some experimenting and gave bloodthirster a makeover.

why is it crashing my game when i click "trade" at the slave market?

There are generally 3 reasons the game would crash with this mod. The path of the mod folder has been altered either by leaving the "Leo" folder inside another folder or renaming the "Leo" folder,  you are using the wrong version of this mod for your game version, or you have applied other mods as well that are not compatible with this mod. As you have not stated any relevant data, I cannot rule out any of these possibilities.

The following path should exist for any system using the default mod folder location ("user://mods/"):
".../Strive/mods/Leo/Leodata.gd"

The first link in this topic is for version 1.6 of this mod for Strive v1.0a, but you described it as "crashing" which is more consistent with Strive v1.0d for which you need version 1.7 of this mod found here: https://itch.io/post/2622626
