I like how you used the theme in 2 different ways here. I didnt even think of making game about ants. The art style fits very well in the whole concept. Also, I liked the music - its is quite short loop, but not such intrusive or annoying as in some of the games. The only issue are bugs (and i dont mean ants haha), I got stuck a few times and had to start over. If you dont mind, check out my game too!

In what way does your game fit the theme?
1. it's about ants, I mean come on.
2.the more things you hold the stronger barriers you can break through
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
ALL OF IT (During the jam period I might add)

I loved the cute pixel art and the theme song! The dash ability was a great choice too.
Having one on each pincer was hard to find but its a fabulous idea.
The art is ace! Great sound effects! Ran into a couple of glitches (I managed to dash off screen at one point and couldn't get back!). But that's what a game jam is!
Good work!
looks preaty, but kindy glitchy. can't go more that 2 levels. streamed
its a very cool game, im seeing other people are having a really good time with the later levels. i got stuck so early though, i wasnt sure how to pick up 3 donuts at the same time. i think maybe it couldve been spelled out a bit more for dumbos like me.. haha (even reading the hints on the page T_T)
I had fun playing it and I really like the aesthetics you went for ^^ at first I had no idea I could pick up more than one thing so that was confusing but once I understood the mechanics it was pretty fun!
Oh also once my donuts got stuck outside my reach (I couldn't get them all through the door so I left them on the ground and then I couldn't reach them anymore) so it was a bit frustrating, I had to redo the level. It wasn't too painful as the levels are short, tho!
Hey Super cool game. I loved the art style and music. My main problem with it was at certain points I had a hard time understanding what to do, but other than that it was pretty intuitive.
i liked the puzzles and the art and music, all worked nicely together and it was nice to play, only thing is I wish you could go backwards feels like you get punished for not knowing what you need in the next room, either that or be able to see the whole level so you can plan ahead! good game though well done :)

Some of the pixels in the main menu font are a bit off: https://gyazo.com/7470d7efa04bbc58ddbf42efbfca1241
-
I’m assuming this is intentional since it seems like you were going for a 4 px wide monospace font but the ‘T’ isn’t symmetrical which looks a bit weird and I’m not a fan of how thick the lower half of the ‘Y’ is
-
The art and style is all pretty good. Some of the colours could do with a bit more contrast though
-
I don’t know if this is intentional or not but you can’t move diagonally which is a bit frustrating
-
I was a bit confused at first during the tutorial sequence. It took me a bit to realise that space was for dashing. The arrow makes it seem like space is the button to continue the tutorial
-
The doughnut hitbox feels a bit small. It took me a few attempts to be able to pick it up
-
Also, might be related to the hitboxes, but dashing into the door doesn’t always work on the first try
-
The player’s trail feels a bit off in a pixel art game
-
Picking up more than one object at once seems a bit confusing
-
I think I soft-locked myself here by not bringing the doughnuts into the room with me: https://gyazo.com/aa6f5c4c236f8676875252d0f005a559
Thank you so much for the feedback!
yes, moving in one direction at a time is intentional
I agree, there isn't much instruction in the game to make things very clear, I might go back and add a proper tutorial later
The hit boxes on things are fine, it's that the Input for those things are called at fixed intervals instead of every frame, so it feels a bit unresponsive :(
I see your point about the trail, but it looked a bit empty without it so I left it in
You can Hit R to restart a given level
Good Suggestions! I'll try to implement/fix what I can in the near future!
A nice game! Found it a little hard, but puzzles never were my thing. Agree with others that a more involved tutorial would be helpful. Good job!
the game is fun. it took me a while to understand what I needed to do >.< but I got there eventually xD the art is beautiful and the audio is really nice.
nice game dude. the pixel art was insanely good and man the puzzles were mind puzzling lol.
nice game still. love the visuals and the music
check out my game if you have the time :D
Great game! I love the pixel art. Good job for making the game in 1 week!
nice idea for a puzzle game, unfortunatly I didnt manage to get passed the third level, I didnt quite understand how to hold two objects for a while, and the grab button was unresponsive so it was hard to proggress.
but good job anyways!
Hey, that name's familiar!
From a fellow ant-er(?), I'd just like to say that I really enjoyed playing this. It took me a while to figure out how to play, but other than that, this game is really unique and I like the premise. Happy jamming and good luck!
