1. What is your gender and age?

I'm female and 16.

2. Where did you find out about Tailor Tales?

MeliZbeauty on Youtube.

3. Is the art style appealing to you, or did it take some convincing?

Yes, I like the art! (I'm a fan of anime/manga art styles in general)

4. Which (available) character is your favourite?

Dimitri is my favorite so far. Based on character descriptions, I actually thought I would like Neil more so I played him first (I like tsunderes ahaha). Instead, besides the flashback, I ended up not liking him until the events of the masquerade ball. He was straight up rude from the very first encounter in the cafe, and his unpleasant attitude only became more apparent as I read more chapters... Until the ball, which I'll talk about later. Since then interactions with him became a lot more fun, partly because of his awkwardness, and I started to enjoy the bickering, especially when I could make him blush (; Neil's character has made some great progress throughout the chapters and he's grown on me (even though he still hasn't told MC that he loves her and they aren't even an official couple after 25 chapters as;ldkfjafds). Actually, if you play Dimitri's route first, Neil might not even be that bad in the beginning because he's a saint compared to Alex. Anyways, unlike Neil, Dimitri immediately grew on me; he's really sweet and mature (more so than Neil in the beginning even though he's five years older than Dimitri) and he COOKS, which makes him total waifu husband material. I'm sure Dimitri's childish side will come out eventually, since his young age is made to be a part of the story, but even then I think I'll probably still like him more than Neil.

5. What’s your favourite scene?

I know I said that Dimitri is my favorite but the masquerade ball with Neil wins hands down for best scene. The concept of the ball is already alluring on its own, but the real appeal of this scene is that Neil is actually being a gentleman to the MC instead of a jerk, and its great. He becomes much more humane and likable in contrast to the rude, abrasive Neil from the beginning. He also got a better hairdo //shot To make things even better, the Neil's dialogue throughout the ball and the romantic make out scene are both extremely well written, perhaps even some of the best written parts of the game so far. There's also some dramatic irony in which the player (or at least me) figures out that Neil is the mysterious gentleman long before MC does, which was rather entertaining. As I mentioned above, the masquerade ball is what made me start to fall for Neil even though I initially disliked him, because that's how great the scene was.

6. What’s your favourite CG?

Either the counter-top kiss, which is the most beautiful cg so far, or the selfie with Neil's derp face, because that one's just hilarious.

7. Which character would you like to be available next?

James or Aiden!

8. How many fierce points and how many kind points did you get at the end of each route?

For Dimitri I got, 7 fierce and 2 kind points, just because he's so fun to tease. I forgot what I had for Neil, but it was more fierce points for sure because I definitely told him off every time he was being a jerk and I maaay have taken every chance to make out with him ^^; I'm not going for the passionate endings or anything, I just answered honestly and most of those answers happened to be the fierce ones.

9. How much tailoring experience and gold did you end up having at the end?

46150 gold and 5030 exp.

10. Was it difficult getting gold to purchase the chapters, or was it easy?

Pretty easy! I know that buying more clothing makes it harder, and I definitely bought a lot, but I actually think that it makes the process more fun and less tedious. Anyone would get tired of making the same basic shirt all day, but since I had so many clothing styles/colors/patterns, clients would give interesting, albeit hideous, requests that gave me a good laugh and prevented gold grinding from getting boring. That being said, I did kind of have a problem with the sparkle pattern. You need this pattern for the masquerade dress, so I had to buy it. It's really small and hard to see, especially when there's like one minuscule sparkle on a sleeve, and when you buy a bunch of similar colors like me, the sparkles get difficult to match to a clients request.

11. Was it difficult re-creating garments that were important clients? I.e. the masquerade dress, Angela’s dress, or the opera dress.

It was okay overall, but I did have a hard time finding the right lace for the masquerade ball dress. I bought three different ones before I got the right one ._. And that dress made me go broke..

12. Favourite aspect of the game?

The romance scenes are great. I also really like the concept of designing clothes for gold, which is then used to unlock stories. The process ties in perfectly with the MC, who owns a boutique, and its much less aggravating than a time-based system or something similar.

13. What do you think of Joselina, the MC?

I had a lot of fun playing as Joselina! I never had a moment where I found her actions insufferable, and I love that she has a backbone and isn't completely dense. She's a strong, independent woman who don't need no man, but she'll get a man anyways (;

Extra notes:

I hope that we will get to do more story-based clothing designs in the future. It's a fun minigame even though the ball dress made me go broke ahaha.

The small previews of the CGs don't show character customization. It doesn't really bother me since the actual CGs do show the customizations when you click on them, but it's just something I noticed.

Clothing previews in the shop would be nice.

This is the first otome game that I've ever played, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love that you can answer with anything you want and still get a good ending; the reason I've never played an otome game is because I'd hate having to act out of my character to get a guy, but that's not a problem here. You've done an amazing job on this game and I'm looking forward to version 1.4!

I'm sorry you lost your progress from before!

Congrats on playing your first otome game though - welcome to the world of cute guys and being able to romance them :)

I remember telling people in the beginning, that if you hate Neil, try and get past chapter 12, and if you still haven't changed your mind about him, then you won't like him, ever. In your case, you did change your mind :D It was the first chapter I wrote of Neil's story! He's a pretty rude jerk in the beginning, but he gets better, especially after chapter 24. Also, he's a lot more tolerable if you select the first option - but anyone is free to pick whatever they'd like!

Welcome to the Dimitri fanclub though <3 he's husband material. The sweetest, really. Hopefully you'll find a favourite scene for him as well, just like Neil. Every character should have an event like Neil's does, in which the MC and the guy go somewhere together and have a magical romantic eventful day. For Neil, this was the masquerade, for Dimitri, my lips are sealed!

Thank you so much for playing and leaving feedback. I'll definitely remove the sparkles from the random clients (I swear I already did this, but apparently forgot). The small CGs not reflecting the different skin/hair colours of the MC is correct - this is mostly to save on processing power. Imagine having 10 large images, condensed to a small thumbnail, which then also each have like 5+ layers - the FPS would drop by quite a lot. So I compromised, and just showed the original image as a small thumbnail.

A preview in the store is something I'll consider, though that would mean I need to spend more money on my programmer again to change things around.

Glad to see you enjoy the option of being fierce or kind so you aren't stuck with an MC that has to pigeon hole herself into the ideal person for the guy to like her. You can be whatever you want to be.
