Unimaginably slow

Hello Kenny,

As the title reads, Asset Forge 2 (any version) is  very slow, so much that I can't use it. If I pan, zoom, or click on a menu, the delay is around 5 seconds before something happens.

My setup:
Macbook Pro 2016
2,7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Radeon Pro 455 2 GB
Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB

I bought Asset Forge a few years back when the first version just came out, I was able to use that without issues on another Macbook Pro 2015 (basic model).

Anything you can help me with? Is this a known problem?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Hey Dave, have you checked our troubleshooting guide? For Apple devices performance is a bit lower so it's recommended to change the visual settings for Asset Forge. Disable shadows, ambient occlusion, anti-alias and enable Vsync.

Thanks for the quick reply! Changing those settings did the trick, although I couldn't find those instructions on the troubleshooting page (maybe add it there for future users with the same problem).

So the 5 second delays are now solved, but it's still uncomfortably laggy/sluggish. Is that something that will be fixed with future updates?

Thanks again.

It'll possibly be fixed in a future update however do keep in mind we're moving away from supporting Apple, while the current Asset Forge 2.X will still be made Apple compatible the future version (3.X) will not be.
