The pixel art is great, and I love the overall vibe of the game. Makes me want a fully fleshed out story. More enemies would be cool too, or maybe another type of weapon like a laser gun that uses the same batteries? I like the level design too. The rocks leading you through the tress was a nice intuitive touch.
