Hey, I just tried your game. Knowing that you ran out of time due to exams, I will readjust my opinions a bit. I was kinda in the same boat. I was lucky enough to have my midterms pushed back 1 week.
Review/opinions:
The game has a lot of potential. Regardless of the result I see what was trying to be obtained here. I had fun running through enemies violently swinging my sword (which needs better hit collision/player feedback). After emptying a room of enemies a gem spawns in the near the center. Grabbing it does nothing, but I see the point of it. Upon grabbing the gem I assume you go back to the main area to pick another path leading to a new experience, however that was yet to be completed. I always liked the idea of a "one room rogue like" and it seems that is what you tried to accomplish. Good job getting something done, regardless of it being complete. There's potential here, especially in the pixel art. Hope you continue it after the jam. It'd be interesting to see you shape it into a complete game.
