There's a bit of a bug with the game right now-- the "saves" folder usually included with Ren'py games isn't in the build for some reason. Make an empty folder called "saves" (don't include the quotes), put it in the folder called "game" and you'll be able to play, but note you won't be able to save.
If your problem lies in opening the application, extract the game to a new location, put in the "saves" folder as mentioned above, and you should be good to go.
