I was able to understand the tutorial pretty well until the "firing through gems" mechanic came up, which is a shame considering how necessary it is. I had to die on the level with gems surrounded by blue walls to understand. Having no checkpoints is also pretty tough. I did like the level and enemy design a lot; it provided good variety and made full use of the mechanics. Highlights to the aforementioned blue wall level, the use of white enemies to be meat shields for other enemies, and the boss design. Well done!
