Indeed, the ending text is probably a bit much. I was worried that with only four characters, the topic might not resonate. It also makes the game easier to share. And finally, since I don't really have a story ending, it clearly signals that the experience is over.

You're absolutely right about social status being linked to influence and heritage. I did try to find other ways to express it, but they either became too much or too theoretical.

I'm glad you found a space to let your imagination run wild and come up with hypotheses. It's very valuable feedback.

Now I'm picturing a class of 30 teenagers mashing their spacebars during a sociology lesson XD I have tons of sociology topics tucked away; eventually, I'd like to create little games to make them more accessible.

I think the ending text is a nice footnote for those who won't get it. Don't worry about it being too much, for me it was a confirmation. If the ending text had been, "You didn't click hard enough for the others so they had bad lives" I would have been VERY confused.
