This was really good! It was a clever new spin on Simon says. And the art was cohesive which was nice.

Very heavy use of AI, could have tried for free or own assets. The spin on the memory game is good, got complicated quick and I wish the round were a bit shorter haha

Nice game overall. The game is mostly AI so I'm not sure which opinion I should give, maybe better prompt lol.

JK, if it works, it works right.

Very interesting little experiment! I'd agree that it was successful. Using the workflow you did, how well do you think it could be scaled for a bigger project? Really curious to hear your thoughts! I could see devs that are more art forward using agents to do lots of coding so they can focus on the art more, but I have personally felt like for bigger scope projects AI has mainly been helpful for a task that I generally know what I'm doing, otherwise things fill up with weird errors I can't decipher. But this was very cool to see! Overall it was quite a fun game, which is really what matters :)

Working nicely. :)

Really solid game with some nice polish AI asside the timing and presentation was on point.

Great job on this one! I really liked the main combat mechanic, though it took me a second to understand where the visuals for the target input were. Once I realized it was built around a “Simon Says” style mechanic, I found myself really enjoying the game.

Overall, really good game. I’m definitely coming back to it later for another playthrough.

Really impressive first game, the presentation, art style, music, and overall polish stood out immediately. A lot of people mentioned the tutorial/clarity issues and some confusing matches, but the core idea is genuinely creative and memorable. Turning a Simon Says-style mechanic into a boxing game was super clever. Great work overall, and I’m excited to see what you make next!

REALLY good job on your first game! It looks great!.

With the Tofu match, I kept on trying to match the coconut with the coconut milk. Didn’t understand why they don’t match and had to look at the comments to figure out that it actually matches with the pineapple. For me that was not very intuitive.

When I saw the text with the Minty match, I knew I can’t read that fast and enjoy the game at the same time, so I just decided to give up there.

You turned a very simple idea into a good game. There’s a lot I can learn from the way you executed it. Really nice submission!

It's quite well done!

It looks good and sounds good and plays well enough. Even if you "have no experience making games" you did need to come up with an idea and get everything to work, which it does.

The concept of the cards to shift from defense to attack is interesting, but does have some issues. It isn't always clear what the correct answer is going to be. Tofu's start out directly matching pictures, coconut = coconut and so on, but later the connections appear arbitrary, coconut = pineapple instead of coconut = coconut milk. The correct answers in Sebastian's fight felt the must intuitive of the three, which was helpful since he hits so hard. If the intent, however, was to lose fights until the correct answers are memorized then it's working as intended.

The other thing about picking cards is that you can generally ignore defense entirely. As long as you do a single correct button press at most to buy time to select the right answer, you can immediately transition to the attack phase. Or if you don't know the answer, you can still gamble on getting it right or picking a neutral response. Tofu's fight, especially, never requires defending since he doesn't counter (as far as I experienced.) A more solid game loop could be requiring a full three+ defense and then the ability to select a card, rather than interrupting the defense sequence itself.

These are just my opinions and experiences, of course. :)

I simultaneously love and hate that you picked out the exact two things I came to the same conclusions about but decided that with only 2 days left, I needed to pick and choose my battles, LOL.  The Tofu fight was meant to "ease" the player into how rounds advanced but I think the weird category association ended up killing a lot of people's desire to progress.  I think I'll investigate your suggestion for the game loop though, I agree that defense and attack need a better separation to make them more compelling gameplay elements rather than just having them compete (which attack phase is beating it out on).

Thanks!!!

This looks incredibly polished! I really loved the clever twist of turning 'Simon Says' into a boxing game. Great job!

Very well made art and presentation. Once I understood the concept I had fun boxing.

Interesting game.  Looks good.

Loved the game! It was a bit tough at first without a tutorial, but once I figured everything out, the gameplay was fun. Really clean UI, great work! Can't wait to see what games you make next! 👍

I thought the riddles were pretty clever actually, reminded me of insult sword fighting in Monkey Island. You say you used a lot of AI here and have never made a game before, but are you in some kind of tech-related field? You came a long way in ten days.

First of all, congratulations on finishing your first game. That's really impressive.

The art is stunning, and the music is spot on. The visuals and audio feel very clean and polished. The gameplay could actually use a bit more guidance or a tutorial, though. For example, explaining what each card does would help a lot. I also found the cards a bit distracting when trying to focus on the popup inputs.

Lastly, I didn't fully understand your interpretation of the theme, and if you did incorporate the theme into the game, I'd really love to read more about it.

Amazing work overall. The game has a lot of potential. Keep it up! I'm excited to see more from you in the future.

Nice-looking game! However, I was missing a tutorial or some in-game explanation of what everything does. It has a lot of potential, but a little more guidance would go a long way!

Submitted(+1)

Good vibe to the game but wasn't sure why coconuts and palms trees where showing up and maybe a meter to understand how long the fight would be but otherwise good entry.
