YouTube Fair Usage - Content ID's

Hello! My name is Will, and I'm making a Let's Play of your game Clam Man 2 on my YouTube channel, SteelJackalGames.

I have a question for the developer regarding fair usage. During a portion of this video (linked below) I go a little quiet to allow the intro theme to play. This particular part of the video was then copyright claimed by CD Baby (the stated copyright owners) on behalf of South Fjord Audio. I'm wondering if I could be allowed permission to use this music as a counter to the copyright claim as a part of the  video. I'm very much a small-time YouTuber, and I don't necessarily want to get in trouble for using the music that constitutes the game soundtrack.

As a side note, I hope you're alright with my playthrough of the game - I commented a couple days ago on how much I've been enjoying it, and I do have a small contingent of regular viewers that really like the direction the game is taking. If you take any issue with my videos please let me know.

All the very best,
 Will

Hey! Ive been watching them as well, actually - I dont actually know how youtube does that, but I know others seem to be having no problems with it and adding the tracks to the description, somehow... I’ll look into it and let you know! I know both me and the composer dont want any strikes on videos of the game!

Hey again - I talked to the composer and turns out his CDbaby account or information was accidentally set to monetized, which we've now corrected. It might take a week or so, but that should resolve the issue for you! Let me know if you still have issues later on!

This is lovely, and a great resolution; thank you very much for your incredibly prompt help!

I hope my videos can do your work justice, all the best!

Hey, I've just finished your game - honestly you deserve a round of applause. To anyone who's on the fence about getting this, go for it - this game arguably has more emotional punch than any other narrative game I've played in the last 5 years, packed into a couple hours of gameplay. So excited for the full release!
