The game is really RAM heavy, it crashes when it has no more free memory to pull from.
Android 9, for example, uses about 1.5~2gb of RAM just for the system, so with a 3gb phone (mine's one of these), that's more than half of the total memory, so you would need a 4gb phone to play the game as it should be. (Or a 3gb one, like i do, but you need to save often).
