I was just wondering... is this game still in development or has it been abandoned? I'm gonna give it a go a bit later.

Hey there! Currently the game is on hold as we're shifting focus to more original brand new ideas rather than just fan-made creations. Lots of reasons as well are hindering the process that can be further explained in this devlog: https://gamejolt.com/games/sonic-exe-the-assault/167576/devlog/latest-update-rel...

Hopefully one day we may continue the story and let the full vision for this project unfold.

Hi! I admire your quick response!  I did see the linked post before I came here, but didn't know if it was still applicable being over a year old. I understand the desire to create something original, and will check out your other projects as soon as I can (I just got a desktop computer, upgrading from an old celeron laptop... it needs a graphics card first, then I'll take a look). This does look like a good project however, it would be sad to see it die... I was wondering. What engine were you using? It might tell you in game, but I haven't had chance to play it yet.

All the best, Kris.

Yup, unfortunately enough it's still applicable 😅 Once we get something out of the new project ready to be shown and announced, i'll definitely make it known in a little post in here and on the Gamejolt page as well. Congrats for your new computer! And I hope you have a good time with the creations 😊

For Sonic.EXE: The Assault I used the Unity engine, and i'm still planning to continue with it for now as well until hopefully once a hardware upgrade is achieved on my part, I would give the Unreal Engine a chance and discover its potential.

I do appreciate your interest and don't hesitate to contact for any inquiry! Thankyou ^^

Unity, huh? I've been looking at how I would get into game development and have been undecided between Unity and UE4. I don't really know where to start...

Anyway. I hope you get to upgrade your hardware soon, and good luck on your new project!

I got the computer set up and was pleasantly surprised. It's an old i5-3470 with Intel HD 2500 graphics. Firstly, do you think your game(s) would run? Would either of the engines run? If I get enough money, I might get a GT 1030 or even a 1050 Ti if I'm lucky. Same questions, would the game and would the engine(s) run do you think? Sorry to bother you so much, I was just wondering and thought you might know before I download anything (my Internet connection is horrible, so any download takes hours or even days... if I could know in advance and it's not too much trouble, that would be good please.)
