This one is really good. I like boomer shooters and this one was really engaging to play. It had me focused start to finish. This would make a great streaming game if you guys want to develop that part of it.
I found having to backtrack and recomplete objectives multiple times a bit annoying. Particularly on the last door, since I realised I didn't have all the keys I needed and had to kill enough enemies to open the door again. But room to room, the gameplay feels really good.
I had an issue where crouch jumping on the web build caused the game tab to close. I stopped this from happening by using the downloaded version. The downloaded version is pretty good, but it doesn't run as well as the web version for me and the mouse sensitivity is a bit higher.
Good visuals overall. Very creative with the powerups/voting system. Nice enemy designs. The sound design was also good. I liked the music and the catchy voice lines.
Great work overall.
The game concept is fun. It's kind of like a lighthearted Hunger Games! The platforms and map feel a bit small compared to the movement speed, but I can't say for sure since I haven't played many games like this. It was an enjoyable game!
Thank you very much! Yes you ar right, we have to map some other levels with more verticality and bigger
Really fun concept! The whole “live-streamed survival show” idea is super creative and feels surprisingly believable in its chaos. I loved how the crowd reactions and streamer voice lines tied into the gameplay... it adds this weird layer of pressure that totally sells the theme.
The mix of 2D and 3D visuals works great, and the soundtrack keeps the energy up throughout. I did run into the “falling through the map” issue once, but aside from that, it played smoothly. Would love to see this idea expanded with more weapons or mechanics around keeping the audience hype up... there’s a ton of potential here. Awesome work!
Woaaa thank you veeery much, it's very kind and we appreciate your comment! We are happy that you loved our game. 💖
Enjoyed the idea of the gameplay but it definitely was a little buggy when backtracking.
Do enjoy the mix of 2D and 3D. Loved the sound fx of the streamers voice when you hit certain milestones. Really added a lot to the environment!
Auto targeting felt a little weird to me and the bullets moved kinda slow for my liking.
As others have said I like the idea of the health being tied to the Hype meter or something instead of just health... kinda like Ultrakill
Thanks for your feedback, could you describe what bug did you get on backtracking for the team please?
It's a pretty good doom-like fps ! I enjoyed the controls but i really felt the absence of other weapons, at some point i was just pressing left click while moving and it was really repetitive. Especially in the room where you have to kill 60 guys, it was too long... The random bonuses are a good idea but it doesn't change the gameplay a lot actually, and i think it could be great to set a option in the settings to deactivate the auto-targeting. But overall it's a pretty fun experience, and some of the arenas are cool! (but you can easily slip through the map the game should respawn you automatically when it happens btw, this kind of things can make people ragequit pretty quick ahah)
All you feedback resume the issues we already know, it's cool you just confirmed that, so thank you!
I enjoyed every second of your game. Well done! The mix of 2D and 3D works perfectly, and the whole concept of impressing viewers while streaming is such a clever and creative idea. I did fall through the map once, but other than that I didn’t run into any bugs. Definitely leaving you a great rating!
Thannnnnk you! It really motivate us to go further with this project!
The idea of an arena shooter where you have to impress your viewers for bonuses etc is very cool. I had issues with performance and my run ended after a door closed on me and caused me to fall out of the map though. That said, there's so much you could do with this idea. Maybe you could have it so you dont even have health, you just die if you run out of viewers, and then there could be additional ways to ramp up viewers sort of like a style meter in DMC or ultrakill, and maybe if your items voted on by your viewers, you could somehow influence the demographic of your viewers with your actions and that could increase the chances of getting certain kinds of upgrades. again, a really cool idea with lots of potential and hope you go on to put more work into this one
Thanks a lot for your feedback and your ideas, we have a lot too! Arf, yeah we know that door bug (it’s on the game description), we have to fix it in the next build!
"No humans are supposed to be doing this. You know what ******* humans are supposed to be doing? Humans are supposed to be ******* picking up like a wheelbarrow full of, like, logs and just like, slowly walking with it- you- and then and delivering those logs to the like to the community, and then like those logs are used to build houses. And then there's also like a baker, and like a butcher, and... no humans are supposed to be doing what we're doing right now. Humans aren't supposed to be doing this! Like, we're supposed to be like: 'Oh howdy, how are you? Good to see ya!' We're not supposed to be like: 'Gugguda gugguda gu gu gugguga gu guguda!'"
Certified overwhelmment simulator. I liked styling on enemies and doing 360s
Didn’t really understood your purpose but the last sentence was clear, thx
Sorry LOL it's a quote from Jerma (a streamer!) who was playing Ultrakill and got overwhelmed. I feel like it fit with the fast-paced gameplay of your game
(here's the video i was referencing)
Aaah OK sorry 🤣
That's what you are talking about haha at 1:42 :
Beautifully Brilliant! I love to see a game that focuses more on its fun and mechanics then it's style or it's writing. Reminds me a lot of Night of the Consumers with its wackiness and zaniness (and obviously doom). my only complaint is that sometime when you jump, it just seems to send you flying and not stop until you hit the ground no matter if you switch directions mid air or anything, which is kind of a problem when you need to do precision jumping often to get coins or saves or just to progress, and it only happens occasionally to boot which throws me off when I'm in the middle of killing a group of dudes and jumping over another group of them only to get flung across the entire room into an area I wasn't trying to jump to at all. Still a great game though, Beautiful work!
Thanks for your constructive feedback, we will try to adjust the jumping, you are not alone to have this feeling!
Post - QA
Game smooth, mouse smooth, whats not smooth is sometimes my mouse is snapping and the jump is not accurate /delays we’re evident/ and I can’t see sheit btw or thats just me moving too fast. Keys a bit janky sometimes I cannot find it or I’m just blind.
Nice game got the thing going on and would like to see fleshed out version :eyes:
Auto-aim is something we plan to disable/enable to let people manage their gameplay preferences, thanks for your feedback! Keys are hidden, it's a part of the challenge. 😉
Plays well and sounds great. I really appreciate the aimlock.
Thank you for your feedback! We notice some people want it disabled but you confirm it"s not the case for everyone.
Fun little arena shooter with an interesting twist on the concept.
Eventually it just suddenly closed my entire browser, which may have been from crouching + pressing W, so control locking could probably be improved if it's going to be in browser.
I see I'm not the first to mention ctrl + w, apologies.
Don’t apologize, it’s something very disruptive, so it’s normal to mention it. We have also mapped the C key, in addition to CTRL, but as you suggest, we should disable / hide CTLR when we are in the browser.
Thanks for playing!
This game brought back fond memories of Doom! It was really energetic and cool with the 3D aspect, which gives it a nice platform dimension! Even if, from time to time, I felt like I was standing on a bar of soap.
Good luck with the rest!
Thank you for your feedback ! Maybe it’s because of the crouch?
A really cool game, entertaining, with obviously a good Doom vibe, i like it :)
Thanks for playing Kireth! <3
I like the humor in this one.
The narrator is doing a good job, from what I can see.
Thank you for playing!
Great game! Controls felt super smooth, and the visuals were slick. I love the combination of 2D pixel art in a 3D environment! The idea of being able to link this with twitch is super cool too, I hope you can make that work. :)
For the web version it would probably be best if you could use something besides ctrl to crouch, as it would always end up triggering a shortcut and closing the page on chrome. The desktop version ran great tough. One thing that could also be nice would be some indicator for enemies that are outside of your vision. I got shot in the back often and it could feel a bit unfair at times
Thanks for your feedback!
Indeed, the Ctrl key for crouching on the web version causes a conflict. You can use the C key instead.
Your suggestion for an indicator for enemies outside the field of view is interesting. We’ll add it to our list for future brainstorming.
No problem, thanks for the nice game! :)
For the indicator I think you could either add a small mini-map or display a warning-sprite on the bottom of the camera for each enemy close behind you that is matching that enemy’s X-coordinate
A pretty fun game! In my case, everything worked. I wouldn't say it was scary, but it was quite entertaining! Well done!
Thank you very much for your comment, we appreciate!
It looks like it could be a big project. The game's sound is top-notch. Hero jump sounds so familiar^^. The graphics are nice. However, auto-aim with keyboard and mouse... Dude, cmon:D
Ahah, we added the gamepad controller recently for the next version and plan to desactivate the auto-aim by default, with on option to reactivate it in the settings. Thanks for your feedback and your appreciation!
I don't understand why others say this isn't a horror game. When i realized those save files weren't checkpoints, i was really scared i'd have to start all over again.
The game is very fun and entertaining. I like it :)
Haha yes we plan to change the asset, gamers like me and u reminds floppy disk as GTA San Andreas save files
This game is so much fun, and it moves so well and its very fast paced and enjoyable! Great Game!!
Thank you for your kind comment!
