I really enjoyed that, the art style you’ve gone with is super cute, I love the player model and the environment! The gameplay is super fun, I had a lot of fun sneaking through the graveyard and digging stuff up, the flavour text for each item was simple and sweet and wove a nice narrative between everything!
I think if you were to continue this in the future it would be cool to have levels that ramp up the difficulty or have some linear narrative going on through them. For difficulty you could add groundskeepers/security or grieving family members that can catch you in the act. For narrative I think having different NPC’s in the scene you can talk with and unravel a secondary plot could be really interesting!
Overall super solid work, would love to see you polish this up in the future!
The simple little digging mechanic was surprisingly fun, but I think what stands out to me the most was the story writing. Reading every bit of dialogue is what kept me hooked to keep playing. Seeing children buried next to their parents, fathers next to daughters, was surprisingly touching, and I appreciate that serious moments were allowed to sit for a moment.
That said, there are some really great moments of Levity (like the Butt brothers) that help the game feel light despite that macabre nature of the game.
If you plan to make any changes, I really wanted there to be a special ending for collecting all the items as well as little through lines in the story, and the audio is a tad jarring. Great work on everything nonetheless.
