Once I figured out this was a slot machine, it clicked. I think some sound effects and maybe actually scrolling the slots instead of blinking them would clarify things. Plus I would love to see some animations for the condemned, like watching them spin around on the wheel or sweat beading down their foreheads. But overall, the music is great, the visuals are neat, and this is a fun take on the theme!

i like the art but was confused with the gameplay... took a bit of trial and error to get it maybe an ingame tutorial would have helped. Good work !!!

It's simple, but it just works. A fresh concept with the slot machine. I really like the visuals as well 💛💛

simple mechanic gameplay that relies more on the luck side, the art is funny and cool, also really liked the music and the booing from the crowed made me laugh. a nice sorta gruesome game :))

Great visuals and a fun idea, def one of the more unique takes on the theme. Great job!

Really well done! Love the visuals

this was interesting!! i'd love if maybe the player got to experience stopping the slots one by one to try and get a good hand to give us a little more agency. but it was fun and it reminds me of like, an older newgrounds game! i love the style of it and the music!!

This was good. Visually, you nailed the aesthetic, however it didn't really feel like there much of this game that was in the player's hands, it seemed to be entirely luck based and the option to upgrade the machines didn't really seem to influence the success probability all that much. Maybe you could make it more of thing where the player has to pull the lever again to try and stop the dials on the desired slots? Still, you guys did a good job

Great stuff! Really simple premise, and the art style looks really good. The slot machine mechanic was a pretty fresh idea that I haven't seen in any other game in this jam.

I really dig the art style!

I unfortunatelly got very unlucky in my run, but the concept is very interesting and fitting to the theme!

Interesting concept and fun art! Looks like my luck isn't on my side tonight haha

I loved the art and concept but felt like the heavy reliance on luck made it tough to get far.

Thanks a lot! We're really glad you enjoyed the art and concept.
You're totally right  the balance isn’t quite there yet. We unfortunately didn’t have enough time to properly tweak and fine-tune the gameplay, so luck still plays a bigger role than we’d like. That’s definitely something we plan to improve!

Really interesting game. Took me awhile to understand what was going on. I’m super unlucky so I lost all my runs pretty early lol.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing! We’re happy you found it interesting.

Yeah, we know the learning curve and the luck factor can be a bit rough right now we didn’t have time to properly balance everything yet . Future tweaks should make it more forgiving!

just played your game! I love the character art! and also the game logo!!!
I like the game as a whole, I just had some issues with not fully understanding the games upgrade system. this was real fun and seeing all the different characters is fun! well done!

Thank you so much! 😄 We’re really glad you liked the art, the logo, and the characters!

Totally fair point about the upgrade system  it’s something we didn’t have enough time to fully polish or explain properly. We’ll make sure to improve that part so it’s clearer in future updates. Thanks a lot for the feedback!
