I really liked this one! It was a decently difficult platformer game with a super cute story! The plot is a bit absurd, but in a sweet way, like a children's cartoon. I also liked that there wasn't the typical platformer game spikes -- they were mice shaped like spikes! Shoutout my boy Eagly, and here's my high score! As a fan of hard platformer games like Super Meat Boy, I really hope you continue to make games, and I'd love to see more from you in the future! Spectacular work!

Fun platformer game!
I quite enjoy the witty writing.
I've seen the assets being used before, but I love that you added a hat and a cape to the fox to make it fit the narrative, that's a pretty fun addition. On the topics of arts however, I actually don't quite enjoy it when the game uses a mix of pixel sizes, especially when it’s a bunch of different assets put together in the game. It just looks messy and distracting overall. If you have more time or improve your art skills further, I'd love to see you modify their assets you use even more to make it feel more coherent.
On the gameplay, overall I enjoyed the game. There was a few things I didn't quite like however. The first one being the bubble, which just feels slow overall. When it's active, as far as I can tell, you can't do anything to them except for popping it manually, which means a good chunk of the time playing the game is just waiting around for the bubble to get to their correct spots, which I find to not be a good game design. There were some more hiccups such as not having some quality of life features often seen in modern platformer games like coyote time or jump bufferring, or some wood platforms doesn't line up straight with the tiles so you have to jump to move off of them.
There were some sound effects I would have liked to see such as a bubble popping sound. Some dialogues also have bugs and you have to press Shift to continue the dialogues.
This game actually feels a bit weird to me, because there's definitely a lot of good polish on some parts, such as the cutscenes, but then there were other parts that could really use the extra polishes, like I mentioned above. Overall though, I still think it was enjoyable. Would love to see it you would continue developing the game :)
Thank you so much for the in depth review! Ill keep the different pixel sizes in mind! I thought about adding some sort of movement in the bubble, but didnt want to make the game too large. But youre right it is very waity so I'll see what else I can try to add to make it more fun. I did try to add the quality of life features but I didnt do that good a job. Will try to learn from some tutorials maybe. Also I did have a bubble popping sound, but just found out that it doesnt trigger with manual popping and when it does play it wasnt that loud.
Thank you for the inputs and letting me know what to improve on I appreciate it so much!
Cute animals and good dialogs! But I am not a fan of platformers, so can't comment on the mechanics too much, just repeat the comments about coyote time and constant collision issues at the connection of passable platforms with stones.
Also encountered a bug that made me restart it twice, when you can't exit the dialog when it ends and no controls work. But it wasn't that big of deal with the length of the game.
I love how you sneak in "death" and "opportunity" in the introduction; it was clever. I love the playstyle, and the characters are silly. The sprites are so cool and well-animated. The platforming is a little spaced out, but fun! Great work.
Very enjoyable one. The bubble mechanic was very creative and the level design was very good. It could use variable jump height but overall it was a great game. Good Job.
Please rate our game if possible <3
This is such a cute and fun concept! I enjoyed it a ton. I did unfortunately get stuck at one point because I talked to Eagly a second time, but that's okay. He's a very charming duck.
Very nice game! I think your performance issues might come from the respawning mechanic somehow? The more i died and was brought back to the start, the poorer the performance. It also made my character's position more and more "unstable", and it would often sort of jitter from left to right, making it very hard to platform correctly and the lag made getting past mice even harder!
Still despite the minor technical issues, its a fun game visually and technically so well done to the team! its a very fun concept to play
this was cute!!!!! i liked this a lot. the web browser version crashed on me, but it was fun!!!!
Good game, I noticed some minor collision issues, but otherwise I had fun. By the way, I noticed there's no Coyote Time. I recommend checking out Celeste's gameplay; it's a model for platformers.
This rules. I love the pixel art, and the music is really nice to listen while playing. It's a little buggy -- in the level with all the 1 block columns leading upwards, the character kept shaking whenever I stood on one and then got thrown into the abyss. The game was overall very fun, though.

Looove the art style and animation, I am not very good at platformers XD but had loads of fun nonetheless!
I love the concept :) I'm someone who usually sucks at platformers, but this one kept me invested because it was quite forgiving. Good job for a gamejam 💛
Really Loved the Artstyle, the fox's animations were super fluid and polished..The eagle saying that the other person thinks its a duck caught me off guard (>w<)..I did face some issue with the npc's..for some when i interacted the game would just stuck and i had to restart it..but over all really cool game..great work..
I love it, it feels so unique maybe because haven't played alot of the games so far, really fun!
I like the idea. I played it in the browser but in the final level I couldnt get to the first wood plattform with the bats. But I enjoyed the game. :)
