art is cool. and the ending is good.

I definitely would have made more of a point about the down button being the key to winning though. like even in the button layout, for example - instead of having jump assigned to every button, have A jump and B down so the player knows there are 2 functions. I only read your hint by chance as I was about to quit, so went back and played again.

only other thing I would say is it would have been nice to have a tune to jump to

nice work

Nice little game.

Cute little game, I had fun! Ko is ADORABLE - great running animation and cutscenes! Got to the end, unlucky for her though...

Controller support would have been nice but it's no big deal with how simple it was to control.

These cutscenes are really detailed and well drawn!

I liked cutscenes that bookend this finite runner, once I understood that downwards movement meant fall downwards quicker while jumping, I was able to navigate through the final 100m. The horseshoe only appeared once and never again, it would have been good to incorporate more of the theme but still a nice short experience.

I wish I could leap over people's heads when they walk towards me on the sidewalk; it would save so much trouble! [Joke]

That was fun! The art is charming, the mechanics are competent, and the story is cute. I always like a platformer with a good quick-fall mechanic!

Some objects, particularly balloons, were a bit hard to see against the background at times. I also had to reset once after the A and B inputs got stuck on "On".

Good work!

This game was a lot of fun to play! The screen wipe effect when you die was super cool. I didn't immediately understand what was and wasn't an obstacle at first in some cases (the balloons confused me at first for whatever reason), but after a few tries I got it down. The little cutscenes were super cute, by the way. Nice job!

Thanks for trying out my game :D

I can agree with the visibility issue, also I got the idea of the screen wipe effect from old games like DOOM because it’s cool ahaha

I like the opening and ending cutscenes and the art for the main character. Also I like that you had added a quick fall by holding down it made the game not too hard to finish. Nice entry

Thanks for playing my game :D

Really cute :D Simple, efficient, I had a good time playing your game!

I'd say that maybe not every obstacle was immediately clearly a danger to me, but I still managed to finish the game after a few tries, so it was still nice to play!

Thank you for making this game, I hope you had fun!!

I can agree with the visibility issue ahaha

I’ve had a lot of fun making it :D

I loved the graphics in the cutscenes, and I was fascinated by the death screen. The way the entire screen crumbles down with that effect was incredible! Also, the ending is really hilarious!

I liked the idea of the screen “melting” from old DOS games (DOOM for example) for the screen transition

cute game. Not very good at these but still had a fun little time!

Cool game! Very fun gameplay and clever way to create a bunch of different levels in the same room.

I loved the way you used the color palette to create the darkness in the right side of the level.

I agree with the many levels in the same room.. I used the “spawn zone” technique to trigger the next level while removing objects that passed by ahah

i brute forced my way through the game to the end before realizng there was the quick fall feature, that wouldve made it easier lol. very charming art and presentation!

I kept getting unlucky with the poo balloon combo. I like the variety in the art work and the ae86

My friend recommended me that car, also the Kei truck for the background element ahaha

Overall of the game is pretty fun to play, the aesthetics is nice but it is a bit too dizzy to look at the background.

Pretty well done!

Sorry about the strobing background, it was my first time learning about dithering

Submitted(+1)

It's a very solid runner and the ability to quick-fall really does add some depth to the mechanics once you realize that it's possible.

I quite liked the horse-shoe pickup, but found it odd that it wasn't used more than the one time at the beginning of the run. It feels like that's a great tool for giving players a little breather in the tension if they know where to look for it.

Developer(+1)

I wanted to add more horseshoes & the stuff planned in the early dev stage, but the time constraint didn’t allow me ahaha

The art was soooo good! I appreciated the hint on the page and was able to beat it 3rd try. :) The ending was perfect.

I think something went wrong in the state machine and I couldn't jump anymore.

Looks very pretty though. Very whimsical.

Sometimes that can happen ahaha

I like the IDEA of this game, but the strobing background was starting to hurt my eyes.  I did beat it though after 5-6 tries.  Maybe have variable jump height?  I found most of my deaths were due to being locked into a jump when a small jump would have been much better

Developer(+1)

Sorry about the background, it was implemented early in the dev stage & I didn’t have time to revise

Also, I can agree with the jump height
