How does the game fit the theme?
The character must cross a bridge that could collapse at any moment and takes a risk in the sense that the cookies baking on the other side are well worth it.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All external assets I used are listed on the game's page and also within the game itself as a way to credit their authors, who generously made them available for free and allowed for use in any project. Regarding the code, I had some drafts of path creation since the idea already existed in my mind, but I didn't have a game yet. As soon as the jam theme was announced, I created the terrain, set up its progression, designed the entire UI, worked on the character's movement and animation, recorded all the sounds (except the music), created the pixel art, etc.

Really interesting mechanic. Definitely got the cogs in my head turning.
Unfortunately there's not that many cogs up there so I only got to stage 10 (had to brute force a few of them too; I may not be able to think good, but I can definitely click things).
The visuals and atmosphere are pretty great.
Thanks for trying the game and for the review! =)
Fun game! Trying to figure out the puzzles is fun. I busted out my notes app to start figuring out the patterns. maybe a QOL feature could be something that helps you keep track of the patterns you tried so that they can stay in the game.
Hmmm, that's an interesting idea... something like a "breadcrumb" that shows the last valid blocks, right? I like it. I've included it in the backlog, as I plan to resume development on the post-jam versions next week.
Thank you so much for the feedback!!!!
Thought this would make for a great educational game! Nice work! The secret rule so early wore thin on my patience tho! Fun game <3 was live reviewed here : twitch.tv/gratefulllyivory (will post vod after stream)
Man, it was so much fun watching someone play my game! You were the first streamer to post gameplay so far. Thank you so much!
I really appreciate the feedback. It's a shame I wasn't online when you commented, so I could have continued watching your stream. But anyway, you have a new follower on Twitch.
Happy to be of service! It was a most enjoyable gaming experience :)

the idea is really fun i love puzzle solving related games well done!
Hey! Thanks for your feedback! =) I'm glad you liked it.
Arena Guardians was one of the first games I rated in this jam! Great game by the way!
lovely puzzle game also INSANE VISUALS dzamn. it gets hard which is really hard to find in jam games’ level design. props to you
To be honest, I think I overdid the difficulty a bit, especially in the later stages... problems when trying to make a game in a short time... I'd say it lacked balance. But I'm planning some improvements for after the jam.
Thank you very much for the comment.
I spent a good while trying to solve these and while I couldn't quite make it to the end, I enjoyed what I played quite a bit. I'm guessing this will be different by person but I felt like levels 5, 6, and 7 were backwards. 7 felt like the easiest of the three to me and 5 the hardest. Other than that, this was well polished!
Well, what you said makes sense... what's easy for some is difficult for others. I've had some feedback along those lines... especially that the last few levels are quite difficult.
I'm preparing a version for after the jam with hints on the levels to make the game more interesting and solvable.
Thank you so much for trying it out and for the comment.
Really enjoying this puzzle game - it feels very cohesive. One small note: the jump sound feels a bit out of place.
Thanks a lot for the comment! I'll take a look at the jump sound thing.
It's a shame I having hardware limitations here to text .exe stuff. Your game looks insane!!!
Wow, fantastic puzzle game! Solving the secret felt super rewarding. For the more difficult ones, I ended up just memorizing what was good and what was bad. Maybe a hint system would work well for this game
Indeed, some people also played this way, noting valid blocks and stepping on them in subsequent phases... for some rules, this isn't possible, as the next block depends on the previous one, but for most, it works.
Anyway, I have a hint system in mind for the first version after the jam.
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Really challenging puzzles! I was surprised I was able to solve the levels I did. Good work!
It's great that you completed all the levels. I'm planning more stages for after the jam. Thank you so much for testing the game and for the review.
this game is great, i have soo much fun, great idea of theme! congratulations!!!
Thank you very much!! Glad you had fun. =)
Unfortunately, due to hardware limitations, I'm currently unable to test .exe games at the moment... so I won't be able to test Junkyard Bots... I'm sorry for that =(
Made it through all the levels but oh my gosh, the 12th rule is insane :D Great game, really fun to challenge your friends with
Wow! I'm glad you managed to beat all the levels! I think I overdid it a bit in the last few. The game definitely needs better balancing... unfortunately, I didn't have time for that during the jam week... but there are plans to improve this in future versions.
Thank you so much for the comment and for trying the game.
I didn't get pass the 4th level , my brain stopped working !!
Hahaha I understand perfectly. Thanks for trying the game and for the comment.
I can't believe how much time I've spent on this game, especially level 10. I would have never in a million years guessed that was the secret rule... To be honest, even if someone had told me the rule, I probably still wouldn't have been able to pass it, lol.
Despite that, I still spent half an hour just trying to document which letter combinations were safe to step on. I made a list with the safe tiles on the left and the unsafe ones on the right. I didn't get to finish the list, because I finally managed to clear the level in the end.
Man, that's crazy.
Wow, I was honored by the photo you sent because I could see that you really dedicated yourself to solving a puzzle in the game. Thank you so much for sharing. You can be sure that it really helped me to be sure that I'll want to continue updating Don't Step Wrong after the jam.
Your game is also amazing!
Nice and tricky puzzle game. Personally couldn't get past Stage 8 and would preferred to get some kind of hint after x amounts of trying. Still was a really enjoyable experience and will definitly try to get past Stage 8 later!
Yes, I'm already preparing a hint system to be implemented after the jam. But it's great that you managed to reach level 8! You've progressed quite well!
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Unfortunately, due to hardware limitations, I'm currently unable to test .exe games, so I won't be able to test GET... I apologize for that.
Not bad, but few last lvls patterns become too tricky, i think. It would be great if you give some more hints for understanding in which direction player should think. Also I'd offer you to add more quick death animation, cuz when you make too much mistakes, it becomes to see this falling animation every time.
I'm already preparing a hint system to be implemented after the jam. It was a suggestion made by several players. Thanks for sharing! It really helps me to know!
About the falling animation, I'll think of a solution for that.
Thanks!
An elegant mechanic that's easy to pick up but has a surprising amount of variety to it with the different win conditions. Also liked the quirky presentation, and it was really satisfying to cross a tough board. Definitely enjoyed it!
Thank you very much for the comment and for trying the game.
it a very good hard puzzle game
Thank you very much!
Unfortunately, due to hardware limitations, I'm currently unable to test .exe games, so I won't be able to test Cloud Life... I apologize for that.
it ok
This is an exceptionally polished gem! Outstanding gameplay, sound design, and art. Well done!
Thank you very much, mate!!! Selecte is awesome too! Just played it! =)
A really nice concept and a good and polished game! Figuring out patterns on secret levels is extremely fun too :)
Thanks for trying the game and for the feedback!! I just played Pabalubaba too! I just hope I don't remember Greg before I go to sleep.
