How does your game fit the theme?
This game is a game about snapping fishing lines by running it in loops around obstacles to build tension in the line. We've designed both puzzles around making loops with fishing line, and an endless arcade mode in which players are encouraged to maximize loops for points.

I admittedly struggled quite a lot with comprehending what I was supposed to do, and what the space I was in even was when picking it up at first, but after a bit of work I eventually understood what was going on, and once I did I found myself quite impressed with the work here! The atmosphere was quite immersive, and the exploration felt quite palpable despite the relatively contained levels

Thanks for playing our game! I'm super happy to hear you were able to pick up the game and that you were impressed by it overall! We tried definitely could've done a better job explaining the core mechanic of the game with the first couple of levels but we did our best to design those levels to encourage the player to figure out mechanics as we introduced them. We tried to get the atmosphere right as one of the biggest points of polish so the kind words about that are very much appreciated!

Congratulations on your own submission to the game jam as well!

everything really came together nicely! All the art, music, and SFX pair with eachother perfectly and the gameplay loop is very enjoyable.

I had to squint at first, but I love this take on the Game Jam theme! The level design is super cool and it's artistically really well done. There's a way to make a great little game beyond that, I think.

Hey thanks for giving our game a run! So happy to hear you liked our game and our interpretation of the theme as a whole! When we decided we wanted to theme the game around fish we wanted to make sure we got the atmosphere right along with polishing the core mechanic itself. We're hoping to spend some time adding more levels to the game and polishing up once rating is over so hopefully we'll be able to use that as an opportunity to expand on the game some more.

I'm pleased to hear the darkness wasn't too debilitating, we did our best to balance the levels around it and we made sure to add a brightness feature (albeit it doesn't quite work in the web build which we're hoping to fix).

Congratulations on your own submission to the jam, and thanks again for the kind words and feedback!
