Your Average rank is #71 in GMTK 2025! Congrats!

Here is the link with all the rankings:

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you so much for putting that sheet together and for letting me know! I'm over the moon about the placement, especially considering how many amazing entries there were, it's great to know and have a figure to see how I averaged out for all categories like this, so thank you again!

Absolutely stunning work. The narrative loop is compelling, and the atmosphere is incredibly well executed, especially with the subtle audio shifts and stark visual style. I agree with others that the intro pacing could be tightened, and some in-game prompts would improve onboarding. The respawn orientation bug did catch me off guard, but it didn’t break the immersion. I really appreciated the thematic use of color and the eerie reveals. Overall, this feels like a polished slice of a larger story

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback! So happy you liked it since I really enjoyed yours too! I think I'll definitely be going back to tighten up things like that, give it an extra lick of polish once the jam ends (aka, soon!). Thanks so much again for playing!

Got 1 ending, will absolutely come back to get them all! After seeing your responses to other people I would really love to see what you come up with for a post-jam build honestly, it’s a really cool idea that could easily be added to and improved on!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words, so happy you enjoyed it, hope you like the other endings if you get the chance!

Submitted(+1)

A dose of horror and PS1 vibes - I can dig it. I think it took a bit long to really get into things and the limited focus makes me wonder how much I'd get in replaying it. As a statement though, this is the best narrative take I've played in the jam and the controls are solid.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! I agree that it's one car crash or straight too long in some cases, hoping to add at least some more variety and mechanics post jam when I come back to it!

Submitted(+1)

I loved the vibe you put into the game. And I loved that point where the trees are those giant monsters, it gave me chills lmao. Still can’t understand how you can make such a great experience in 4 days tho x) Great job !

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words, so happy you liked it! Haha they honestly gave me chills too when playing, I'd forget when they were coming up sometimes when testing!

Submitted(+1)

Loved it! The vibe and aesthetic are top! The narrative and loop system works really well together! A lot of ideas like the radio and the text moving are a really cool touch too! It gives you the eagerness to see the end of the story! Impressive and great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, I'm so happy you liked those touches and details, they were a lot of fun to add in!

Love the text animation at the beginning! Nice horror post processing effects~

Some feedback:

Could possibly add instructions in-game rather than in the page below, as I was confused at the beginning what I should do. (e.g. I didn't know it was space to continue the dialogue, and thought it was mouse clicks, as initially it was Clicking the button to Play)

When you die, the car's orientation respawns wrongly, so sometimes it faces me backward, and I cannot turn around without the game killing me repeatedly with the message "you cannot turn back", even though I am trying to turn around to continue the game. I think deaths should reset the orientation correctly too.

Overall, I found this to be one of the most immersive games I played, and the mood set the tone the right way! The eerie music was great and tense, and I loved the atmosphere! It had me gripped to my car seat.

Amazing job~ :)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, and for the feedback! I 100% agree with it, the car thing is unfortunately a bug, and very good point about progressing the text, I was watching Mark play on stream and he was saying similar, it dawned on me that I hadn't quite made that clear...!

Really happy you liked it overall, thank you again for playing!

Really well executed — I love the style; it’s very unique and fun!

Thank you so much for playing, so happy you liked it!

Not a very long road at all ! 😅

A very well made short horror game, I'm impressed! Loved the visuals and style. Congrats and good luck!

Developer(+1)

Ssh, you're gonna blow my gig as a long road salesman!

Thank you so much for playing it, so happy you liked the presentation of it! :)

Submitted(+1)

The game is really well made. I especially liked the art style .  it’s easy on the eyes while playing. Great job!

Submitted(+1)

Really liked this game. Loved the atmosphere and the narrative. I wouldnt say that it was scary but you can definetily feel like someone is watching you after several minutes lol. Well done man. I like that other devs made horror games too with the loop. Gj!

Developer

Same here, m' fellow horror dev! The theme definitely leant itself well to it! Thanks so much for playing my entry, high praise coming from your one, really enjoyed it and definitely also made me look over my shoulder multiple times!

In hindsight, it was a poor decision on my part to play with at half past midnight with my 3 week old son sleeping next to me (don't worry, I had headphones at least).
The good news is that I feel awake enough to keep gaming!
:P

Everything about this game seems well done, especially for a game jam.
If you asked me how long I thought it took to make this, I would have guessed 1 month.
Very well done on the visuals, sound, the controls felt smooth, and I loved that I could change the radio station.
:)

I don't like the horror genre, in general, so I'm not too sure how this rates as a horror experience.
One thing that I, personally, would have liked is a bit more clarity on what the heck happened in the past, and what is going on now.
I kept driving and driving because I wanted to solve that mystery!
I used your advice on the game page to get the secret ending, but I am still left with questions.
However, I suspect that this is deliberate, and perhaps even a semi-standard thing for horror stories?

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, thank goodness for headphones 😂

Thank you so much for the in-depth feedback, so happy you liked it! Believe it or not, I'm not one much for horror games either! With regards to the story though, I wanted to leave it open ended by choice, kind of vague enough while also giving enough clues to what might of happened. But also the narrative was a bit of a miracle with the time constraints, so I'll say it was mostly intentional, partly that I'd like to have done a bit more!

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, it felt like an artistic choice, so you did very well there.
:)

It wasn't how I hoped it would go; but sometimes leaving it open is better.
There have been plenty of mystery stories where the explanation was clearly thought up at the last second, and it can ruin the whole thing if the "reveal" doesn't make any sense.
For a game jam, leaving it open is probably the best way to go.

Developer

For sure, totally agree that if it was a full game I wouldn't want to leave anyone disappointed in not getting an actual conclusion or explanation for the events, but I can kind of get away with it here! I want to update post jam period with more endings and to flesh it out a bit more, I hope you'll be able to check it out then!

Unique and well executed player controller and viewing angle for a psychological horror game. Gives the player a fun movement system to play with in the moments in between the horror sequences.

Submitted(+1)

Just completed the game. Really liked the story, it's like he did something wrong in past, maybe he left some people to die and now he is trapped in the guilt forever looping every single day. So good!

The psychological horror vibe was pretty strong along with the black & white pixel graphics with a  touch of blood. Sound design was also on point. The car's control was also perfect.

Awesome short story game. Loved it. :)

Submitted(+1)

The game has a nice style.

Submitted(+1)

I recommend playing this nice soothing game before bed! It really calmed me down!

Submitted(+1)

I probably can’t say more than what’s already been said by others. Good game!

Developer

Thank you so much, just saying that is more than enough! Haha I really appreciate it, thanks for playing it!

Submitted(+1)

I feel like I've just played a full game, that was really amazing. I think you completely nailed every aspect of what makes for an effective psychological horror, as well as just a game that keeps you hooked until the very end. I thought the monochrome colour rule being broken for the more horrific events was a great touch

Developer(+1)

Thank you so, so much! Seriously high praise coming from what you achieved with your game, so glad you liked it!

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely fantastic love the visuals love the music and love the horror very nicely done my only feedback is that I think I got a bug whare I was driving left to right for the second half of the game so I could not see the stuff on the side of the road but fantastic even with that.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! I totally agree with that btw, I'll update after the jam to increase the near camera draw distance so you can actually see the car on the road instead of just in between gaps in the trees!

Submitted(+1)

We had very similar perspective/driving mechanics, but totally different vibes!

Very nice narrative, super creepy! Just to be sure, after you get all the way back to the menu you've played the whole game right?

Developer(+1)

Honestly super different, loved the chaotic nature of yours! Thanks so much for playing! And yes, that's the "proper" ending back to the main menu, time ran out for making it a bit more natural feeling!

Submitted

Okay good, it did feel like that was the end but you never expect it to be so short until you remember this only took 4 days!
