Really fun game, digging the visual style and loved the sound effects for all the items.

Developer

Thank you!!

Absolutely awesome game) First of all, I love physics puzzles and anything you can drag and drop.

And also, the game idea is really cool and not as easy as it seems at first. I totally thought day 10 would be the last, but nope. It’s hard going to the store every day)) Such a clever take on the memory mechanic.
And overall, this is one of the most stylish games in the jam) The visual is just great)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

When we were developing the game, I thought it would be too difficult to get past day 15. How wrong I was, I know some people who reached day 30+ hahaha. It's funny to see how much information people are able to memorize.

Absolutely adore the aesthetic of this game! One thing I didnt like was that once I broke the ONLy bottle I could buy I was stuck, unable to do anything really

liked the TV frame ;) great minds! i like the 50's vibe and unhinged subtlety of it all

Developer

Thank you!
Great minds think alike, hahaha

This is a really beautiful and fun game. I played with my wife.

Developer

Thank you! I hope she liked it as well!

Submitted(+1)

She adored it just like me! The sarcastic tone made us both laugh very hard. 😜

Submitted(+2)

Cute game! and also the itch page is a work of art :O

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks!

I'm glad you liked the itch page! Yesterday, Claire added the finishing touch with the vintage TV around the game view at the top, and I think that looks so cool!!

Submitted(+2)

The only complaint I have it the size of the supermarket elements, they are really small if you don't play the game full screen.
Yet, you reached some perfect aesthetics and perfect sense of humor! The divorce option was peak, good work!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the game!!

You're right that playing in fullscreen is almost mandatory. That was one of my concerns when designing this type of game for the web. Thankfully, I imagine most people played it in fullscreen (?).

Submitted(+2)

This was hilarious lol, the divorce option at game over is genius!! The aesthetics were amazing overall, I even love the loading screen so much.

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you found it funny!! :D

This game is SO good and SO funny in the sense of the absurdity of the grocery list. The game page itself is also really well designed!!! I love that the groceries slowly fade away like my sanity as I try to remember the growing list of things my beloved and darling husband needs me to buy for him. WHY DOES HE WANT 7 LEMONS???? EVERYDAY??????? DOES HE HAVE SCURVY???????????

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the good laugh, hahaha :D
I'm glad you had enough sanity left to share your impressions.

Next time he asks for that many lemons AGAIN, divorce him before he divorces you. Part of me wants to know what he's doing with all those lemons, and the other part is too scared to find out the truth...

the vibes of this are IMMACULATE, no notes

also this man eats so much meat??

Submitted(+4)

My beloved husband Richard requires one shrimp platter, one steak, three chicken thighs, three wheels of cheese, a whole pie, two juice boxes, milk, two loaves of bread, and a bottle of wine daily, all of which I prepare lovingly for him with thankless dedication 😌 Also, a bottle of ketchup to wash it all down 💞

Developer(+1)

Here I see meat. There I see alcohol. And over there, I even see fruits.
I guess each 'husband' is different hahaha :D

Thank you for playing!

My memory's not good enough for marriage :(

This game is great and has such a well executed aesthetic! I don't know if it's a bug or feature, but nervously looking at the shelves trying to remember the last thing I'm missing from yesterday, only to be reminded that I need a "groceries" made me laugh

Developer

It's actually kind of both hahaha
Initially, we had a "groceries" category which was silly (and totally unhelpful). I removed it from the initial selection (i.e. the phone call), but I not  from the hint system. So, there you have it :D

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked it even though the hint trolled you a bit :D

Submitted(+2)

This game is SO DELIGHTFUL I'm beaming from ear to ear lol. Having the "quit" option being "divorce" is so out of pocket and funny. When I tried to squeeze a steak past a shelf and blasted everything into my cart I started dying. The whole satirical take on the 1960s housewife aesthetic is perfectly executed and works so well for the game. The integration of the theme was really clever too. The way it starts off simple and slowly builds up complexity makes it so easy to get into while still being engaging.

Just an incredible entry, thank you for making it!

Developer

Wow, thank you!
It's very motivating and heartwarming to read comments like this!
I'm glad you liked the satire and the goofy physics hahaha. Thank you again!

I was Live Laugh Loving my way to the grocery store until I broke the only remaining bottle of ketchup and starting throwing piles of meats and produce into my cart in a blind housewife rage 🔥🔥🔥

Absolutely delightful entry! This DRIPS with style and I really like how the challenge of the game was simple but compounding.

Developer(+1)

I'm so glad you got to experience the true rage of a housewife doing the shopping! That's exactly why we made this game in the first place!!
Unfortunately, this no longer happens with those plastic ketchup bottles, such a waste...

Jokes aside, thank you for playing and for your comment! :D

So polished, i love the presentation... my husband divorced me because I forgot the bread :'(

Developer

I'm sorry for your loss... I hope you find a more loving husband.
Then again, forgetting the bread in almost a death sentence where I live. So...

Jokes aside, thank you for playing :D

One of the best-looking games I've played so far. You nailed it! The gameplay is simple enough, but fun. I love that it's possible to break stuff and yeet various objects across the screen. I do wish some tight "passageways" were a bit wider, as currently the most tedious part is bringing something through it without hooking something else in the process.

Great looking game page as well! Nice job. :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you!!

Some of the passageways may be a bit too tight, especially for watermelons or pizzas. It's definitely something I'm considering changing in an update after the game jam. Still, I'm glad you liked the game!

Submitted(+2)

This was pretty fun, loved the theme and narrative! The physics really adds to the gameplay!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the physics!

Submitted(+2)

Insanely polished and very cool game! The only thing that bothered me is that when you only have something breakable left and then break it, the run does not end. And you can either just wait or stuff the shopping cart full to intentially lose. Felt kinda mean, as I didn't want to "waste my money" so I waited for the time out.

Great entry!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing!

You're absolutely right! We realized this was an issue at the very end, and we couldn't find a good way to fix it in time. I'm already working on an update to make the punishment less harsh and to remove useless waiting hahaha.

I'm glad you liked the game despite this!

  1. Do diligent groceries list and pick everything for 10 days
  2. Mistakenly take items because they were on your way
  3. Start a new day by wrecking havok in the store and putting everything on the ground to avoid putting the wrong item in your cart.
  4. WHERE IS MY CAMEMBERT?!!
  5. Divorce
Developer

Thank you for summarizing your experience :D
Forgetting the camembert can prove fatal... I've seen people get divorced over less than that... hahaha

With the art style, food physics, and quips in between days this was a real treat to play!

Developer

Thank you :)
