How does your game fit the theme?
You're an assassin caught in a time loop, turning one kill into infinite paydays. Inspired by the ouroboros, your targets devour themselves—why get paid once, when you can get paid forever?

Woah this game has an amazing concept, great gameplay loop, and fits the theme to a t! i love the twist on the standard shooter/assassination game, and the challenge of needing to set yourself up for future assassinations! The only suggestion I'd give is to restart from the current iteration (e.g. one of the future selves trying to kill the older selves) instead of restarting from the very first run of the loop by default. I get that you'd need to be able to restart from the first run in case you make  it impossible to assassinate your old self, so you can give the player an option to restart from the start of the loop or to restart from the current iteration. Great work!

Thanks so much for the kind words and for playing our game! Thanks for the feedback and that was definitely we wanted but focused on a more speed run loop with short levels instead! But if we would have had time to make longer levels we would definitely do that ;)

Loop structure is well thought out.

Masterful game design! The escalating challenge through cyclical loops feels brutally satisfying, while the bullet-time scoping mechanic instantly transported me back to SOULHOT. And ‘killing your past self’? Pure The Butterfly Effect genius—a hauntingly brilliant twist.

This is the most irresistibly compelling game I’ve played all jam—a white-knuckle challenge that’s compulsively playable!

Thanks so much for the kind words and for playing our game! Your feedback genuinely made our day (-:

Oddly compelling with its precision hit mechanics and well-realized loop idea - even if not original. My main complaint is that I wish this could have been pushed further. Not more loops, but levels constructed with the idea of needing to position yourself properly to get kills on your former selves. It's also quite annoying that you can't restart at the loop you're at and need to try the whole thing again immediately. That as an option I get, but there seemed to be no reason to always take us from the start. A good use of a solid gameplay foundation from asset bundles.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! We totally get where you're coming from the loop restarts were something we had in mind, but we had to prioritize other things. We also wanted to add more levels that required planning and positioning, but unfortunately just ran out of time (:

OMG this is actually so creative, having to kill other time loop versions of yourself! the puzzle of having to kill the VIP, but in a way that you can then kill that version of yourself is so fun! also, the VIP being blue implies he is also one of your marks...

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words and for playing! We're really glad you enjoyed the time loop twist and the puzzle designs. Love that you picked up on the color hint too (;

Like the idea very much, killing your old kinda reminds me of hollow knight death lol.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the idea <3 Love the Hollow Knight comparison, that’s a cool connection we hadn’t thought of!

Fantastic, reminds me of Super Hot, love the idea of having to go back and kill your previous self.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Super Hot was definitely one of our inspirations, so it’s awesome to hear that came through and that you enjoyed it. :D
