About the indicator, we chose to communicate low HP through the player state, thats why it drops some particles, intensifies a fullscreen red border and changes sprite to a 'destroyed' sprite. Maybe even more effects (intensifying vignette, lowering lights, making a low pass of the music) could reinforce this effect, we may try that :)
We will discuss on how to clarify enemys health though, thats a fair point!
