Thanks to everyone who played this and left a rating! Actually made my month to read what people had to say about this.

The art is sooooo good! the wind up mechanic for jumping and interacting is really fun too

Developer

Thanks!

Solid mechanic, very short. This could definitely be expanded into a full title. Good job (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

Developer

Thanks!

Creative interpretation of the theme, like the game but the wind up to jump mechanic made it feel very slow even tho it's the main mechanic. Good game!

Developer

Thanks! I would agree winding does kinda kill the pacing (and I almost made winding affect walking speed too *shutter*)

Submitted(+1)

this is a solid first game and a good theme interpretation for starting the toy. enjoyed the entire game. this idea can be expanded into different types of levels, especially if they're more on the puzzle side, which was my favorite part.
welcome to the world of game jams and please make more games!

Developer

Thanks! I would like to do some more puzzle-y levels. I was kinda disappointed with how little I was able to integrate puzzle and platforming, but I guess that's how it goes with game jams.

the jumping mechanic was very creative! and the platformer as a whole was quite cool! also i really liked the color scheme, great submission!

Developer

Thank you!

Fun short platformer.

I'm not quite sure you mentioned it anywhere, but I discovered that you can right-mouse-click to release the wind-up immediately and jump, which is how I beat the last platforming challenge.

Although I find the mechanic creative, I think the 2-part jump feels very hard to control and does not fit into the sort of higher speed conveyor belt and pace of the game. If it was a chiller, slower platforming game more focused on puzzles then I could see it fit better.

Developer(+1)

That's a good point. Honestly that last conveyor belt section was never supposed to be apart of it. I was coming way to close to the deadline and there was no way I was going to get a proper puzzle for that final section. I'd like to rework it  a bit after the jam is officially over.

You definitely should. I'm doing the same for my game (in fact I'm already working on some parts of it). Which btw if you could check it out and leave me your thoughts so I can improve upon it I'd be super grateful 😄

Developer(+1)

There you go left a comment on your game. It's got a good foundation and I would like to see it develop.

a pretty nice first game jam game. the jump mechanic is fun the pixel art was also amazing. but I couldn't get passed the second spike jump ): but the part that I played was amazing (:

Developer

Thanks. Guess the second spikes were a little too hard too quick, huh? I will keep that in mind.

The music and art are amazing! I wish there was a different way to start your jump because right clicking was annoying. It's a great concept and was fun!

Developer

Different how? Like a new input, or a different type of jump?

Submitted

A different input would be nice.

Developer

Noted. Thanks a lot!

The jumping mechanic was really cool! The font was a little hard to read (like other's have mentioned), and the mechanic of jumping early by pressing right mouse button wasn't very clearly informed (unless I just missed it). Fun to play though, with a nice amount of challenge.

Developer

Yeah didn't realize the font didn't really work till it was too late. My tutorial could use some work too. Glad you liked it though!

Nice jumping mechanic! Like the other reviewers, I had a hard time reading the font (small) and I got stuck, but the look is great, makes it stand out.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The font does need to change. (sorry I missed you)

The visuals in your game are really stunning. I love the art style, it's super cute and very cohesive. I wish you could have put more content in, it's begging to be a great puzzle game. I guess I don't understand the difference between the conveyers that switch direction when you wind up and the ones that don't. Also I somehow missed that you could right-click to jump early, which solves my only real issue with the mechanics haha! I loved the way you could wind up to remotely active stuff, that was a very clever idea. Would love to see more levels!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Your right the release mechanic was not very well explained. The keys could have been more prominent since they were supposed to be what indicates remote activation. Glad you liked it!

Really cool game.
I really like the rigid color palate, reminded me of playing on my Gameboy back in the day haha

The font was a little hard to read though, and I got stuck after the tutorial level.

The game felt well made, and had an interesting and unique jumping mechanic that I haven't seen before
Nice job ^.^

Oh and you should add a cover image and some screenshots, so people can see what your game looks like in the feed!

Developer

You don't know how much I appreciate that feedback! Kinda panicked toward the end and made it a little too hard, lol
