Play game

Power Up the Giga Laser's itch.io page

How does your game incorporate the theme?
The goal of the game is to get enough power in order to power the giga laser and win. You as the player have manual control over the power by moving around the inside of your ship repairing/powering things.

Did you use any sort of AI during the development of your submission?

No

Played this game like a major pro, reminds me of them old arcade games, played them on the mini game in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, the controls were a little wibbly wobbly but also made sense, id say, this is the kind of game A24 would make, now there should be a Motion Picture about this. The music was on the same level as interstellar, it makes sense why this piece of music was added into this. The bots in this game are quite silly, on my 456th play through, 2 of the bots were shooting not at me but at a different direction, south west id say, not quite random is it then? 5/10

Reading the previous comment, I had the same issues with the game when trying to play(mostly aspect ratio problems), but from what I was able to do, it has a solid base with the whole "going inside your ship" mechanic, and I'd love to see a post-jam version of it with most of the major bugs fixed!

Thanks for checking out the game! I'll have to polish it up within the next week or so

This looks like a really cool game, but unfortunately it didn't seem to work for me. :( I didn't know how to fight the very first enemy and once i switched to inside-the-ship I couldn't go back to the outside view. The title GUI also didn't show fully for me, it was cut off on the right side which made it even harder to know what to do. But I would definitely play this game if you end up fixing things after the game jam judging ends! I love these kinds of space games.
