so this game was pretty short, but I had a lot of problems with it. lets get the positives out of the way. the message of this game itself is good, it's always good to have an anti-bullying message (however the way it communicates this is questionable). the art style is pretty nice. that's about it for the positives. now let's split up the negatives. first lets discuss how it feels to play the game. the OS section with the apps feels really janky, but also it's a little bit unnecessary. i assume i might've just missed stuff in the OS section but i don't really think a fake operating system supports the message the game is going for? it just kind of feels like it was thrown in there because it's a "scarey flash game horror game" and that's obligatory.  regardless, the cursor is really janky and the ui isn't really responsive enough. now for the story, while i thought issac and cassi being one in the same is clever, and issac being rude to cassi symbolizing some kind of self loathing manifesting as a furry (something cassi is persecuted for being), the abusive father angle didn't really uhhh... work? this is mainly because abusive parents don't really hate like that when it comes to furries. the hatred his dad shows gives more like gen z COD players hatred than bigotted dad hatred. i feel it would've been more affective for him to just have some really rotten bullies at school to communicate the message. the father can still be abusive, but it should be more focused on his kid being into "gay things" like being a furry. that would've been much more grounded. additionally, cassi dying by suicide would've helped the anti bullying theme be more prominent. and this brings us to the scares, which are really really bad. lets talk about the scare at the beginning with turning the furry into a human. i think if there was proper build up with the requests getting more and more disturbing for a longer period of time the human scare could've actually got me. as it is now though, it just felt like i was playing joy pony. and you can still GO for that joy pony vibe- just have more buildup! having more interactivity in that section would've helped it be more disturbing as well. if i had to manually shave off the hair and saw off the paws i'd feel much guiltier! a lot of the scares after this would be much more effective if the game itself had more interactivity. i also feel like the furry maker 3 section and the story section should've been combined together. you can get story along with the more interactive furry maker parts. having the player interact with the game more gets them more immersed. and for my final gripe: the weird kinito pet asking section really did not work in this context at all. this game isn't about me, it's about cassi. why should the game interrogate me? if it was used to interrogate me about my anti furry bias i'd actually see the point in it but right now it just feels like it was included out of obligation. to end this review off, i want to express that the reason i wrote all of this is because i can know a concept like this can be better. i have faith in the creator of this game to get better at making horror games like this. if the creator is reading this, i hope you don't take this criticism too harshly. i want to see you improve on all these aspects i've criticized. the fact that you actually put a game out here trying to communicate a genuine message is more than most people can attest to. if you continue making games like this (or if you already have and i haven't checked yet) i would like to see them get better and better. i know you have potential to do better. this was a greater start than most people have made. good luck on your game deving endeavors in the future.

Greetings! First of all, of course, I won't take criticism the wrong way, more considering you've said it respectfully!

I don't have much to say since, we basically think exactly the same on most things.

However, there are some silly little details I wanna clarify:

1) I think there was, on my part, a failure to explain it, but: Cassie technically "never suffered bullying" since he was a child ostracized by society, isolated in a cabin in the middle of the woods. He was born with a dissociative disorder that rendered him unable to understand simple things. (In chapter 3, he mentions that he has a friend named UlySS, who is just a message bot he talks to.) The only real friend she had was online, Lyrisol, the original creator of Fursona Maker 3.

(That said, I quite regret how I told the ending of the story, honestly.)

2) Personally, I can see a parent psychologically torturing their child if they decide to dress up in furry outfits. (Obviously, for anyone with more than two brain cells, mistreating someone for that would seem atrocious, but sadly there are parents out there who don't deserve the air they breathe.) My point is, if an abusive, "close-minded" parent sees that their child is "gay" compared to seeing them enjoy dressing up and "feeling like an anthropomorphic animal"... I don't know, I think the former is easier to explain.

3) The "Fake Operating System" has nothing to do with Fursona Maker 3, indeed, but that was done on purpose. I did it mostly to give the impression that you're playing a game within another, within another...

Could it definitely have been done better?

And about the "UI isn't responsive" thing, believe me, you're absolutely right, and it was one of the things that bothered me the most. But I used Renpy, a great program for making visual novels, but if you want to do something even slightly different, you'll have to take on engineering to understand everything.

4) If by "scares" you mean "jumpscares," yup, they are preeeety bad. The first one is literally screaming at me with a low pitch.

5) And with that, I'll close. The reason Chapter 3 isn't about Cassi, but about the player, is for two reasons. First, because the choices serve a gameplay function, and second, to confuse the player about what they should think, since if you came from Chapter 1 and 2, your image of the player would be negative. It would serve as a bridge to when you discover the truth in Chapter 5.

Overall, and the reason I so agree with you, is because I think I had some really good ideas for this game, but the problem lay in how I implemented some of them.

I'll take note of your recommendations, and thank you very much for the critique and for playing the game. Have a good night, pal!
