Firstly: The dialogue prompting (one space to end line, one to go next) is really well done!

I really enjoyed seeing that.

Second impression: The cards are fairly difficult to see. They’re bunched up. And then when selected, sometimes the pointer gets in the way of text.

It would be nice to have a mouse-over, or Alt+mouseover display/magnification of the card.

The music and art in this game were excellent. I really enjoyed the opening cutscene and the music and sound effects were perfect for this type of cozy game.

Unfortunately, I really struggled with the controls. I wasn't sure how to complete the tutorial quest after growing two potatoes. I couldn't figure out how to pick up the potatoes and give them to grandpa. I also encountered a bug where when I quit to the title and attempted to restart the game, it returned me to the same turn I was on when I quit the game.

Overall, I really liked the art and vibe of the game. I'd love to give it another go if I could figure out the tutorial in the future. Thanks for sharing!

The art in this game is really amazing, especially the characters. The idea of a card game with an alchemy/plant growth system is also cool, however, I think an in-game tutorial would be interesting in this case, since the game is a bit complex.

Congrats on your entry!

Beautiful art :)

I really enjoy the concept of a card farming game! The writing here is cool and witty (although sometimes does spill off the screen). Great interpretation of the theme and fantastic art and fun sound effects - very reminiscent of other games in the farming genre.

Similarly to others, I struggled with the tutorial and couldn't make it very far after a few playthroughs with some difficulty with controls and the ui. This was a really cool idea though, I would definitely play a future version.

Amazing visual and sound. Liked the idea, but i think the game explains mechanics not well. Also if i failed for example on turn 16 then after restart i'll start at turn 17 with 0 energy. The idea is great though and i'd like to see finished version!

Superb art! I don't know why but I was not able to play because of very very very low fps.
Don't know if its something related to my pc.

The art is super good and the concept is very cool! The card placing mechanics were a bit frustrating, I wish cards would "lock" into positions on the board when you hover a card close to a position so you know where it's going to be placed, and that you can see potential card positions on the board.

Many times I would accidentally till over another card and get it stuck or accidentally pick up a card when I didn't mean to and now I have to play it's cost to put it down.

Thank you for the feedback!

I also think some QoL improvements could be added to make the card mechanics a bit more intuitive. Perhaps after the jam voting period I can have the time to put them in!

Is there a tutorial or explanation of how to play? I got confused pretty quickly. Also the game was lagging quite a bit for me when picking up the cards. I picked up one to see what it was and then dropped by accident when created a tilled earth right below my hand and I couldn’t move it.

Love the art!

Thanks for taking the time to play,he full tutorial didn't make it before submission but there is a help book on the screen. On the lower left.

I will admit this game is not my type but I want to say good job on the visuals and sounds. Very polished!

I love the visuals here, the art is gorgeous. I wish the tutorial was mandatory and… easier because it was too hard for me and I couldn’t finish it. I did find the cards cute and the interactions fun to play though. - ANTIHERO Harley
