Hey everyone!

I just released my game, Quest for the Pencil, and I’d love to hear your thoughts! It’s a fun and colorful adventure where you play as J, a brave red jellybean on a mission to find a legendary magic pencil.

I’m looking for feedback on:
Gameplay mechanics – Does it feel smooth and fun?
Level design – Are the challenges engaging?
Pacing – Does the difficulty spike properly?
Overall experience – What did you like? What could be improved?

If you have a few minutes, check it out and let me know what you think! Your feedback will help me improve and shape future projects.

Play here: [Quest For The Pencil by JonathanPirone]

Thanks in advance for your support! Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Hey! I like this game, it's cute and I like the music and overall vibe. I think the biggest thing for me that was hard was that the enemies all cycle differently each time you die. Like, in my favorite platformers, if you die, you have to execute basically the exact same series of events to be able to get through a section, and you have to be really precise about it. With your game, the enemies are in different places each time, so you have to make adjustments after you die each time rather than just being more precise. This made it hard and kind of frustrating instead of hard and satisfying. I hope that makes sense, happy to explain more if not. Otherwise, I like the checkpoint system and the story and art made it so I was really rooting for that lil guy. Cheers!

Hey Rat Candy! Thank you so much for the feedback! Essentially say if an enemy started up in the air, and you die, the enemies, on respawn will be in the air again as opposed to being mid-way through going up or falling down when you died (taking the yellow block enemy as an example)! I believe this is what you're getting at. Essentially, keep the patterns consistent, correct me if I'm wrong :)
