Cool suggestion:

If you chop of all of Spidertron 5000's legs and pick them up you can unlock a new upgrade called the Spiderbomb launcher, and possibly get a Steam achievement after release on Steam. You can also unlock an upgraded version if you chop all of Spidertron 6000's legs.
