That was old skool kind of difficulty. Dang. Once I could make it past a few enemies, I'd smash into a wall. Differentiating the inside of the red building with a different color so it's clear where there is collision might help. Visuals were great though! And some nice enemy variety!
Wow it's hard! I seemed to get a level where nothing happened for a minute or more, before me getting blasted out of the sky - but still, a but of fun.
I didn't really see the XKCDness of it - it was almost as if you already had a game and just looked for an XKCD comic it would suit :)
A lot of effort was obviously put into this I liked the art the game play was OK but I love that this game actually had music and sfx very impressed!
