I think there is a flaw in the system. Or dunno, maybe that was the whole point. One of them was supposed to always tell the truth and one was supposed to always lie but that wasn't the case.

I felt like the minotaur was a bit too aggressive. Obviously I searched the wrong mazes first and because I didn't know what the exit looked like, I ended up being killed by him quite a few times and got annoyed by his "smartness".

Also, got an error when I went to options and tried to back out of it. But I guess that's just the engine issue and not something you did.

The flaws are part of the interpretation of the xkcd comic except for the options menu issue, that was engine related. I had to rework the options menu and edit the source code so that only the volume/SFX options  would show up and it caused a glitch, sorry about that. 

Now as for the exits being hard to find. In the original xkcd comic there are three guards and there's actually no way out of the labyrinth at all, I didn't feel that was fair to the player. I made it so there is a way out but, only one path is the right one. That's where the logic puzzle comes in, only one guard is telling the truth... and it's not the one you would expect.

As for the Minotaur I tried to balance his AI so he's not to fast or too smart but, the point is to outrun him (except if you end up in the wrong maze) and even if you choose the right maze you're gonna die a few times. It's all part of the immersion.

So your take was either:

a) Stabby one and truth telling one are the same guard, and there are actually two lying guards
b) The stabby one doesn't actually find any of your questions "tricky" and truth telling one also likes to be stabby...

I enjoyed it was a quick funny game which made me laugh a few times. Excellent analysis. All of the entries are hilarious and creative in their own ways. And it's true that game jams bring out that creativity/innvation that you just can't seem to find anywhere else in the industry nowadays.

This is my second game jam and I'm still kinda new to gamedev. I'm glad you enjoyed playing Black Hat Labyrinth tho! I was definetly going for laughs (especially with Keyboard Smash Minotaur) I had a LOT of fun writing the dialogue/questions.  XD    

For a second dev project it was great! Especially the art and the writing! I liked your game and it is one of the games I rated higher than most! I just did not feature it, because although charming it was like a choose your own adventure book, which is great but  it just did not have any crazy unique concept to showcase to other devs, which is fine because you were not trying to do any crazy new concepts so you achieved your goal! On the polish though the minotaur was very rough around the edges. So I enjoyed it, but it did not excel in any one category so it would be featured it was just above average in each category. Sorry I'm speaking gibberish but my point is I did enjoy your game and should keep on working with what you're passionate about!
