Wowie! I usually don't give 5 stars on everything but you guys just hit my nerve and I love every aspect of it! <3
The game's page also looks very nice, the intro is so perfect and the music is so good.
It just blows my mind what you managed to put together in just 3.5 days - great job! =D

Submitted(+1)

Some results are so funny and the intro and voicelines are really well-made. I'm just curious but how many art pieces are there in total?

Developer(+2)

Thank you!

There are 27 different art pieces

Strong, unique, and interesting concept. I really enjoyed playing your entry.

Congratulations on your submission!

EDIT: I value all the effort that went into the introduction

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, a lot of effort went into the introduction, though parts of it are actually missing in the build, like a bunch of panels are just the sketch layer and I made two custom music tracks that don't play in the intro because of a weird bug that only showed up in the last hour.
Thanks a lot for playing and your nice comment :) Loved your game too!

I really liked this game! You guys put a serious amount to work to this! I don’t know if the images are pre-picked or generated in-game, that would be interesting to know for me. Also, really professional intro. The only thing I didn’t like much was the gallery. The painting were too huge and unrealistic and also I don’t know if I can hear the opinions from someone (like the “!” guys) or not. Congratulations and thanks for the game!

Developer

Yeah, really was a good amount of work. The images are very cherry-picked to be as weird and funny as possible. I spent over a day on craiyon and a bit of photoshop to get the funniest results for the gallery, making the best jokes. Basically, I entered the prompts from the game but then added a whole bunch of keywords to make the results "terrible".

We should add a button prompt for the interaction option with the visitors. You can talk to them via "e".

Thanks for playing!!

Submitted

Oh, so it was a way to talk with him! Then my only nitpick was the gallery overall and the exaggerating huge paintings. I’ll try again and I liked the behind the scene info. I really made the worst ideas possible for the paintings, like the warrior in a horse full of “cubism” 😄

Submitted(+2)

The amount of unique voice lines for what you pick is crazy, bravo to the team!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah took about an hour to record those. With some extra time for the writing of course. I think it's worth the effort though :)

Submitted(+1)

Very interesting project! The concept is great and the voice acting was amazing. One problem I found was the game slows down considerably during the scene in the gallery. Also, I would suggest an option to skip the dialogues / cutscenes if you decide to update the game. That would be useful for replayability.  Other than that, very well done!

Developer(+1)

Ah since the gallery is a 3d scene, that may be a bit more performance hungry. Does your PC have a dedicated GPU? If not, that would explain things.
We have a skip option but it's not highlighted in the game. We'll change that in the post jam version.

Submitted(+1)

It’s yellow and not happening. The mood is chaos and impatient.

Developer(+1)

AAAAAAAA

Submitted(+1)

The game definitely fits with the theme. The idea is interesting, would love it if there was a little bit more art picking. The soft lock when talking is annoying, but eh, it is a game jam game after all. The visuals are nice. Missing some polish in the gallery room. The sounds, music, and voice acting are on point. Also, one minor detail, is there an fps limiter? Even when I am watching the cut scene at the start, the game bottlenecks my GPU completely. Other than that, a nice game!

Also, it would be awesome if you could play and rate my game as well!

Developer

Perhaps we could make it so that you pick twice per round. We'll think about it for the post jam version.

The gallery room was kind of one of the last additions so some parts of it are unfortunately not well tested, rushed, and buggy. We'll fix these things for the new version for sure :)

I think we didn't turn Vsync on so it might be that.

Submitted(+1)

Really nice idea of using AI art, also the voice actor was really nice!

Developer

Thank you so much! As the voice actor, I'm glad you liked what I did!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool idea for a game: making art via AI, which was also kinda funny.
I could see this become a really unique game and gets lots of attention from streamers/content
And of course you got a lot of points from me on creativity:)
Also loved the voice acting!
Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much, you're very kind. Glad you liked the voice acting because there's lots more to come for the post jam version (fully voice acted dialogues in the gallery part in the end)

Thank you also for the high creativity score, really appreciate it :)

Submitted(+1)

I really like the interpritation of the theme, very creative and interesting. The fact that you managed to implement a whole story is impressive on it's own. The results that the A.I. gave made me laugh sometimes. I really liked the voice acting of the game.

However, i got stuck when i was talking to the third person.

But overall, interesting game!

Developer(+1)

Aww, thank you!

Yeah, that bad bug keeps haunting us until the first update post-jam.

Happy you did get some laughs from playing~ that's purrfect!

Submitted(+1)

This was pretty damn funny, I got stuck when trying to talk to the last npc, but overall a great game and cool idea

Developer

Thank you! We'll fix the bug post-jam.

Yeah, that's unfortunately a time-rushed bug, we plan to fix it post-jam.

Thanks for playing and all the compliments - super motivating.

Okay guys... this is really a creative idea!
Awesome entry with amazing introduction 🥰!
This is very unique!
I'm hoping for a post jam version! 😎

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! Stay tuned ;)

Developer

Super happy you looked at our game, thanks!

We'll be doing a post-jam version getting rid of the bugs towards the end and the intro is going to have all slides being properly drawn (also there is more audio for the intro that didn't play either, hopefully we get that fixed too because it's super emotional music!).

Submitted(+1)

nice and funny game!
But sadly the game froze (both times) when I was trying to talk to a person, so I din’t really come further than generating the pictures…
but still!

  • extra points for putting together a menu
  • extra points for a damn intro cutscene
  • enjoyable humor
Developer

Thank you, happy you enjoyed it!

And yeah, these bugs sadly got in due to the lack of time in the end - we put some things together last second.

This is INSANE! The story telling, the AI picture making, the art gallery, such diversity, such uniqueness to this game, it was just a blast and I felt like I had done something even tho these images were already chosen and pre-rendered for the game. The reactions from the main character to the images were the cherry on the top and added so much to the immersion. 10/10, its perfect!

Developer(+1)

Awww, thank you so much! Super sweet comment, you're making us smile!

  • the cover image looks NSFW - at least at a glance, I was scrolling the games to be rated and one my my older kids was “what is that” then to one of the younger kids “stay out for a moment” until I got it off screen.
  • I was going to say no way to skip the into scene, but then saw this on the game page: “Skip in the intro cutscene - delete / q” - not a key I would have expected, nor does the jam send you to the game - putting a ‘skip -> q’ in the corner would have been better
  • My game locked up when I tried to interact with the people with ! symbols over their head multiple times, never got to see what they had to say
  • interesting use of the theme
  • yaen’s voice acting had some really good inflection
Developer

Thank you for the feedback. Sorry for the uncomfortable kids-situation, totalyl not our intention but I can see how that can happen.

The idea for the skip-prompt is great and something we'll do for sure!

The softlock issue is a really annoying bug caused by forgetting to hook up a thing before hitting build and then we had no more time (check the 4 seconds before deadline upload time lol)

Very glad you liked my acting :)

Submitted(+1)

Yah on the kids-situations, it looks like some messed up AI generated image, that could just be taken the wrong way really easy.

Submitted(+2)

I love it, this is a super silly and fun game and a very creative idea. However I got stuck in the art gallery when talking to one of the people. I really enjoyed it though, and I'm happy there's an option to skip the cutscene at the beginning so I can replay it and try different combinations.

Developer(+2)

Super happy to hear that, thank you so much!

Sorry for the soft-lock in the art gallery, we'll fix that in a post-jam version!

Submitted(+2)

very cool! I got soft-locked when entering a dialogue but the game was very fun and enjoyable, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!
And yeah, unfortunately this bug is in the game due to time pressure. I guess just half an hour more and we would have fixed it but we put some things in last minute.

Submitted(+1)

Very funny!
