Congrats on 60th in creativity! Probably our favorite game of the jam. Hope to see you around another time! :D

Great Game ! A combo system where you would have to click on certain keys to inflict critical hits would had a bit more difficulty for pro players !

Ahah! I felt like a super professional programmer thanks to the speed you need to type! The voices are really fun. Great job!

Developer

Lol! I got my family to make the voicelines XD- thought it would be more accurate haha

Submitted(+1)

I hope you didn't tell them what was the game about! :D

Developer

LMAO imagine

My mum gave me a weird look when I explained the concept to her lol

Dear god... Easily the most fun I've had this jam, franticly smashing my keyboard while yelling at my mom that I don't want to do any chores, 10/10 *chef's kiss*

Developer(+1)

This comment has left me beaming. Thank you so, so much- that means to world to me :D

Thanks for replaying it to rate it, that's truly appreciated :D

Loved the idea but you shouldn't allow player to hold keys. It made the game a bit too easy.

Developer(+1)

you're right. Problem is Godot isn't amazing with input getting, and I wanted to get the input to then display in the bar. This could only be done in a way that meant that the player could hold down the keys. Maybe if I had more time I would've found a way around this, but unfortunately not. Thanks for the review!

Submitted(+1)

Bahahahaaa this is great :D

once you realize you can just go like crazy with the keyboard and clicking with the other hand it gets doable :D

Good balance between difficulty and fun

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Alot of people have enjoyed mashing the keyboard lol! Thanks for the review, it's really appreciated!

I think I've got a trauma hearing "the dish wash needs doing", Awesome game really creative take on the theme, and I don't know if this count as cheating but I just hold down one key for a long time to generate the cash just like "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......."

Really enjoy the game, Great entry!

Developer

That's not a bug..... that's a.. feature...

I actually got my family to record the voicelines lmao, just to make it the more accurate XD

Thanks for the review, I really appreciate it!

Submitted(+1)

This was really fun. It's creative and fits the theme well. It's also unique, I've never played a keyboard-mashing-tower-defense against your own family lol. The voice acting was the icing on the cake. Wowie!

Developer

Wowie indeed. Voice acting is my specialty lol!

Developer

mash that keyboard!! XD

Submitted(+1)

lmfaoo the concept here is funny -great way to use the theme too -creative! xD  really nice work on the gui and the tutorial.  Played really well and on that note fake typing on the computer was oddly fun and a unique way to generate income for a tower defense -brilliant!! :D

Developer(+1)

thank you so much! that is greatly appreciated and has put a huge smile on my face :]

The mom fight is insane and shows me that I need to work on my typing skills. This is a very creative concept. I do think that there need to be moments of rest for the player. Instead of a boss rush, maybe there can be a few waves of smaller enemies that allow the player to build up their bot army in between the big bosses. Also, I don't really like that the bots de-spawn; let the bots be destroyed! (or at least put a progress bar beneath them so I can prepare.) Well done :]

Developer

Good point-I probably should've added some 'rest' periods in between. And now that I think about it, there wasn't really a proper reason to destroy all bots in between rounds. Thanks for playing and leaving a review though- this gives me a decent amount to think about :]
