What I liked:

  • the lighting
  • the simple to understand mechanics
  • the story with it's ending xD
  • the prototype texture look

What I didn't like:

  • That the game didn't save that I played through the game :(
  • In the beginning you're told how to press a button but it isn't needed until the end again so you forget it. Later there's no indicator that reminds you how to press a button.
Developer

Thank you for feedback! I didn’t add saves to the game because it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to complete the game with developer commentary and I thought it’s just not needed. Will probably add somewhat saves if we decide to update the game. We already know about the issue with player-pressable buttons, but thanks again for saying!

Developer (1 edit)

That's true. We've noticed that some people in the final chamber forget how to press those buttons since the only time they've done so was right at the beginning. That's totally a real issue. Thanks for your feedback!

I'm surprised by how good this manages to look with placeholder textures. I think it would've been better to have proper voice acting rather than text-to-speech. It could have better feedback on the drone when you select a location. The room with 6 buttons was pretty tedious, and in the last area I had forgotten to press F to interact with buttons, since it was only shown once at the very start.

I did enjoy this though, the interactions with buttons are fun, the ending is funny, and the exploding drone was also a funny surprise.

Developer

Thanks for feedback! We went with TTS because we thought it was fitting the portal theme. I agree about the player-pressable buttons, it’s kinda bad that they appear only at the very beginning and very ending. Probably we’ll fix that later.

Cool game !

I like the very interesting idea of using the drone in order to solve the puzzles. I am very surprised that you managed to implement a developer commentary mode in a short amount of time. The game looks great visually and looks polished. The SFX sound nice. The game is pretty simple to play.

I find it weird that the drone sometimes clips into the wall:

I wish that the small circle buttons also had a sound effect play.

But overall, great game!

Developer

Thank you! We know drone can clip through walls because navmesh and doors are not really good friends with each other. I don’t think I have the explanation why we don’t have the sound for drone-pushable buttons, but anyway we’ll probably do that in an update (if we decide to do one).

Thanks again for feedback and playing!

Developer

I guess we just forgot too add the sound to those buttons.

really fun game I liked the puzzles but thr drone is a bit slow at times

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. Glad you liked it!

Got stuck in the first room with the bio-repellant beam because I forgot to bring the drone in with me, would have been nice to know it can clip through things, very fun tho,  would like to see it expanded

Developer

Drone can clip through doors, you should’ve pressed E and it would’ve gone back. We forgot to mention it anywhere, sorry.

Thanks for feedback! We’ll probably fix this in an update (if we decide to do an update).

it was really fun

Cool puzzles!

Developer

Thank you! @kitakot made the puzzles and I also think he did a great job.

Developer

thanks

Really cool game! I loved the developer commentary, such an awesome idea. I had to mess around with the Unity NavMesh system a lot in my game too :D

Developer

Feels better to know that we didn’t record dev commentary for nothing. :)

Thank you for playing!

I am in debt, thanks.
Loved the game idea, you should tweek the drone movement

Developer

Thank you for feedback! I’m sorry about the money, I don’t really think it was your fault. I’ll talk to the lab director, maybe he could do something about it.

I love everything that reminds me of Portal xD I can see this being a full game with some lore and more puzzles! My only suggestion would be to indicate somehow where the drone is, or we should be able to summon it after entering a room and the door closing. I thought I was stuck when the drone stayed behind in the other room and the door closed, but then it reappeared after a while. Could even be a joke like "Oh, you lost another drone? Fine, here is one more" and then they give you another one and charge for the ammount of drones you used at the end xD

Overall, great game! Keep up the good work ^^

Developer(+2)

Yeah, drone clips through doors. You’re right, we could’ve done a joke there but the idea just didn’t come.

Thank you for feedback and a suggestion!

Thank you!

Fun little puzzle game. I think it would have benefited from some ambient sound, but other than that it was a cool game.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad you liked it!

Got stuck at the fork, but overall solid game. Kinda like Portal 2 co-op, but single-player, lol. Sound was a little lacking, and I think (provided you had more time) a drone tunnel that interconnects with the room would've been a more elegant solution instead of it noclipping through walls, but very nice!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you!

Yeah, sometimes drone gets stuck and you need to spam the key until it moves again. I didn’t have the time to fix the bug so yeah. About the tunnel, it would’ve taken a lot of time because Unity’s navmesh just didn’t want to allow flying objects.

Submitted(+1)

Oh boy, I hate navmeshes lol. Simple solution there is you have it navigate to the nearest tunnel (like, b-line for it, no navmesh). When it enters the tunnel, have it then teleports to the exit of the nearest tunnel in the room you pinged for it to go into, and then navmesh from there.

Developer(+1)

Navmesh is a great solution for “normal” walking NPCs but it’s really bad for flying things and non-static enviroments. Anyway, thanks for the solution idea! Maybe someday we’ll polish the game and release 1.1.

Wow, so many cool puzzles with such a simple mechanic, I'm surprised how many you could fit it. Well done, clear portal inspiration but that's never a bad thing.

The drone mechanic is so awesome, you could do a lot with this.

Developer

Thanks! We forgot to mention Portal inspiration iv dev commentary but I think it’s still clearly visible. About the drone, it really needs polishing and better collision system. Anyway, thanks again for feedback!
