I'm glad you had fun with the game :)
Also I'm gonna try and get rid of that jumping bug after the game jam.
I'd say this is the most fun I've had in a game so far. The peaceful music cutting to the bomb music when you place a bomb made me laugh every time, and the story was good too. Glad I got my revenge in the end. Congrats on a job well done!
Thanks, I'm happy that you had fun with it :)
The explosions were fun and I liked that Johnny Bomb had a grave too.
It got pretty dark and cruel, Miss McEvil was obviously trying to get all the cash to herself.
The music switching was a great idea and really adds to the tension. Well done!
I'm glad you had fun with the game :)
Cool concept, was really satisfying seeing all things blown up in the skies.
One thing that i would change is making text dialog shorter, or be shown in like 10-15 words at a time.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, but yeah normal text is really slow, gonna make it faster after the game jam
This is super fun and also a nice twist on the topic
I loved planning my escape route and bomb placement
And of course destroying things is always very satisfying, great job!
Thanks, I'm happy you had a blast with it :)
Like I said when Yän played your game in livestream, I just wish these buildings had more people in them so we could see corpses flying :)
XD
I think I would be on some kind of watchlist if I did that ;)
Unfortunately, it crashes once the dialogue finishes and then won't open unless I redownload after. I don't quite know why to be honest.I have no idea either honestly, this is the first time I've heard of it happening? The only thing I could think that could cause is not being on windows?
Turns out it was due to me extracting to a new folder with WinRAR instead of just extracting here (Can't tell if that's windows or WinRAR bugging out there). Anyways, got it to work! It was very fun to mess around with! My few critiques are: allowing the player to see the destruction / final dynamite go off after the goal is reached would be nice, the dialogue system could be made a little less ugly as right now it's not great to be the main method of tutorializing, and it would be awesome if you had made the walls/furniture in pieces in blender so you could explode them even if the user did have to deal with the performance issues that come with that. Overall super fun though!
Phew, at least it wasn't an issue with the game. The tutorials could have been made a little more streamlined and obvious and I agree with the sudden cut to the dialogue scenes, that could have been done better.
I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
Thanks! Any chance you could play mine? I think you know the pain of WebGL not being an option :P https://c0d3d.itch.io/inhabitant
Oh, I've already played and rated that. The other person who helped make our game also left a comment.
It was a pretty fun game, the graphics and sound designs were really solid.
If you can think of anything that may have caused it, let us know. I think we are as confused as you here.
interpretation of the theme "failure" as "structural failure" is very original! The buildings exploding were so satisfying and after i placed the bombs i was soooo scared to be trapped under there XD XD Well done!
I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I cant believe you tried to get me to blow up all those cute animal squares, well I refuse good sir, I refuse. But really, watching the explosion happen was fun, the music before the bomb placement I didn't think fit the game, it was peaceful music and I knew "things" were about to go down. Fun Game. :)
What you don't know is that the pets have all committed various crimes such as pick pocketing and tax fraud.
oh. Well that definitely changes things. Now I don't feel as bad. Lol
It's my lucky day!
It's my lucky day!
Very funny, but super unclear what counts as a good bomb placement or not, i failed despite it seeming like the whole pet shop was destroyed.
Thanks for playing :)
the "destruction" is really basic, all it looks for is if the roof pieces of each floor have fallen down so there is gonna be some cases where it don't pick it up
really fun and entertaining game, like almost everything
i tried to do it 100% 😁😂
Thanks for playing my game :)
gotta get on that grind for 100% orphanage destruction my dude
Hahaha was fun ! I liked seeing the buildings blowing up =)
I'm glad you found it fun :)
Haha, what a fun game. Nothing more satisfying than physics props flying all over the map. Just whimsical and I loved it. Thanks for making it.
I'm happy you liked it :)
gotta love funny unity physics
I added your game to my list of favorites from the jam here. Check it out if you want to try some other great games!
Gameplay and sounds remind me of the original doom. Nicely done!
Thanks for playing my game :)
Now you mention it tho I see what you mean...
Really fun, but the poor pets :(((
great game, good job!
No pets where harmed in the making of "Johnny Bomb" and it was recorded in front of a live studio audience :)
Awesome!!! :D
I’m so glad the pets are okay :)
Haha pet shop go boom!
Haha boom :)
This was super satisfying! My only suggestion would be to touch up the 3d models.
I'm happy you found it satisfying, But yea I had to make sacrifices and the 3d models where the sacrifice to make sure this came out before deadline :)
Love my boy Johnny Bomb so much, was a lot of fun.
I'm happy you liked the game :)
Absolute banger of a game. Money McEvil was indeed bad
Glad you enjoyed it. Money McEvil is sus tho...
