I love this game! Very good interpretation of the theme!

Hi! I've put together a list of my top games from the jam and before I post them on the community section, I'm just checking that you are okay having your game's link on the list?

Developer

I would be honored! Thank you

Really great game. I had an absolute amazing time playing it. Even though I couldn't finish it because it was pretty difficult, I still really liked it.

P.S. Brilliant topic.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! Yes, I made the game is a tad too hard, not what I intended lol.

Cool way to stand for the theme, and a cool game overall! but it feels a bit empty in the first generations, it would be a bit nicer I think if at the start it will be zoomed in and zoom out by the "strength" of each generation.

Thanks for the feedback, Yes, I agree, the start of the game is a little too slow!

Really unique concept, awesome visuals and really fun, well done!

Developer

Thank you!

Really interesting, it is pretty fun too. Not too easy but also not too hard, very balanced.

pretty interesting game, it looks and feel good to play, i think you could made different fruits to collect and each one give a different upgrade like a green one that gives you more speed and a blue one that make your jumps higher, but that just an idea if you pretend to continue with this game ^^

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, more variation in the game would have been nice! I think I might keep working on this game.

It was a good relaxing experience, but the other way also challenging. The evolution progress is perfectly matching the with the level design.
Nice work!

If you like mysterious, creepy theme and twin stick shooter with interesting mechanics, check out my game. Thx!

Developer

Thank you!! I will check out your game when I have a chance!

Fun little thing. The generation mechanic mixed with lives is very interesting. If this were a full game, it'd be cool to see some elements of mutation perhaps, rather than being objectively better each time. Idk how that would work though. Good game nonetheless.

The visuals were really nice and the music fit well with the game! The overall concept and the implementation of the idea worked very well and perfectly fit the theme, and created some nice exploration elements like new jump height unlocking areas that are initially close to spawn which made for some nice Metroidvania/Soulsborne level design too!

I think maybe the countdown bar and the hearts could have been merged gameplay wise so that taking damage just lowers the countdown, this would mean the player only has to track one stat instead of two: maybe only by a small amount so jumping off of enemies is still a feasible strategy.

Overall, the game was very well polished and was a very unique interpretation of the theme (which it also matched flawlessly), amazing game!

Great concept of using evolution to progress. Love the visuals/art style. I'd like to see you expand on this. It'd be interesting if you could evolve in other ways like breathe under water or see more obvious visual changes in each generation. For a short game jam this is an eggsellent entry!!

Nice lighting!

the game is very cool, the light enchanted me.

This game was unique and interesting. The double jump height was quite random and difficult to control though. I don't know it's probably just me, but the music and graphics were awesome. I gave it a 5/5 for everthing.

Amazing game, it's really unique and clever, and surprisingly relaxing. I don't really have any criticism.

Well designed, fun game.

The concept is good, but it's a bit slow, especially at the start of the game - this was fine for one play through. But the second time it was a bit too much.

I also didn't understand I had a double jump until I couldn't proceed without it.

Good job!

This is sooooooooooo incredible, collecting pickups to make yourself stronger but also to give yourself more chances at exploring more of the area is simply genious.

Submitted

Great game! Really well thought out concept and a joy to play. The areas with the falling eggs felt a little too punishing as almost every jump was completely blind and it felt like you just had to hope there was going to be a platform underneath you. The controls were great though and this is one of my favourite games from the jam that I've played so far.

Cutie ambiance and art work. I don't manage to jump higher, but i will try again

Strangely melancholic game. I liked that. You could have gone silly or more cartoony, but the choice to be a little more somber fit the idea that you're just several generations of little critters in a scary world just trying to survive a little longer. You did a great job, and you should feel proud of what you made.
