Great game but it could use a tutorial or something to tell you the controls (sorry if there is and I missed it) also on level 2 I kept getting stuck on the block over the spikes. Nice one though
Thanks for the feedback :)
About the tutorial, there are the keys displayed in the level 1 background. For where you were stuck it’s a known issue due to the characters colliders but I didn’t had enough time to fix it before the end of the jam.
Sorry I knew I missed the buttons lol I realised that while replaying yesterday. Thanks man.
Love the idea, I really like the simple art style as well!
Love the concept and how its executed.
The art style is simple yet really cool and i like jazzy ambiance.
A really cool little game with some great pixel art ( glad you had time to get a particle system up and running c:). My main and only real critique is how the game flow is really broken up by the constant resets. If you had an instant re spawn on every level after you die I can see this being a really great super meat boy esque fast paced platfomer. Consider polishing it up a bit and maybe even releasing it as a full length game!
I knew that returning to menu each death would be annoying, and it was upsetting during tests. So I worked on that today and I’ve just updated the files. Player can now choose level, pause game and death doesn’t bring back to menu anymore :D
Great game! :DBut I really missed a checkpoint
The retry button is now implemented, the update will come tonight.
It's really confusing that you can walk forwards with W but not backwards with A you probably forgot to add that Key to the Input Manager. Besides that very cool Idea and take on the Theme :D
It’s strange because I don’t have the W key in the axis I use for the movement. I’ll search what can be the origin of this bug.
After your response I'm guessing you are using Input.GetAxis("Horizontal"), which takes the inputs from the InputManager--> Axis --> Horizontal and there you probably removed the negative alternative 'A'. Because normally if you use Input.GetAxis the Arrow Keys as well as WASD are used for movement.
Yes this what I use. But I don’t understand why W is a usable touch for you as the alt has been replace by ‘Q’… For the next update I’ll make the button be ‘Q’/‘A’ and ‘D’ to accomodate the QWERTY and AZERTY layouts.
