I really like the story and idea for the game! That was a very creative take and great setting for this theme. The save/load was a really nice addition as well!
I think the button scheme was off for the quest as I had to press X and not A.
I liked the motivation and story for the shooting part, but the Trenches shooting could be improved upon in the future for a more immersive shooter. It was hard to find enemies and I just ran around until I got lost a lot.
Very well done!

Wow, based on the game page, was not really sure, what to expect. But that is brilliant.
I like this interesting combination of sad story/setup and cute presentation. You should promote it as a tower defense game that mixes Battlefield with Angry Birds in a cute style^^
This frame story as well as soundtrack and sfx helps to get in the mood. Also think it's a great way to integrate the tutorial into the actual gameplay by simply assign it to the single soldiers.
Have not tried to be honest, but that you even integrated a possibility to save and load is very impressive.
Some little problems/bugs and improvement suggestions:
- Somehow (on Quest 2) the buttons A and X were exchanged for me and also the movement was on the right joystick (but the movemement one only in main menu) what confused me especially at the beginning a bit
- Stats showed, that there is 1 enemy left, but did not found it anywhere in the trenches and also couldn't start a new round, so was bit stuck and had to restart the game
- The pigeon was wrongly rotated on the launch pad. Not a big problem, was just bit strange because it then actually flew backwards the whole time^^
- Wished it had continuous rotation. At the moment not that bad, but if you maybe want to add harder levels in future would be probably better for the "shooter-part".
All in all i think the whole idea fits great into the theme of the jam and is real fun to play.
R.I.P Ami
I really liked the chonky bird graphics and characters I think I have the quirky series bundle as well, really great assets. The two handed gun grab was fantastic too! A little more SFX and this is a great cute War game!
I really like the pigeon camera where you can see how it flies.
I suggest you to add some war ambience music/SFX (like gun fires, explosions in a distance, soldiers yelling, etc), it would make the game much more immersive.

Loved the concept and execution of the game, as someone who likes history I enjoyed it a lot. At first, I was skeptical about the low poly toon aesthetic, and it definitely doesn't do justice to the horrible hopeless trenches of WW1, however it made it a lot more fun and I enjoyed gaining points by killing enemies more than I feel I should have. The game has a lot of features for a 1-week jam and I congratulate you for what you achieved, but understanding all the feature took a while and a little bit more of guidance on that side would improve the experience. Amazing job
Hey, I really like the idea. I love Battlefield 1 and im looking forward for WW1 VR experiences. This gives me the need to try something like that too.
For some reason i was floating a bit to high and when i dropped my weapon i couldnt grab it again. but i still enjoyed it
As a History fanatic, I usually find myself enjoying war games a lot, especially those based on the Great war. This was no exception.
Amazing Visuals and the overall game feel is also great!
I like to think that the pigeon symbolizes hope, which I think is beautiful
However, no projects are without their faults
For a week long game jam, this submission had a surprisingly little amount of bugs
I really only found myself encountering a single one, which sadly required me to restart the game.
My rifle, out of nowhere, disappeared, and I think I dropped it due to encountering an enemy. However, when I looked around on the floor, I was unable to find it again.
Going back to the main area, there was no new weapon waiting for me. Meaning I had to restart the game to be able to continue playing.
Overall an amazing experience. 8/10!
