I could play with that grappling hook all day. I think your game is a shining example of getting a game mechanic so right, that it makes the entire game a blast because of it. Hilarious explosion when blasting cop cars. The concept of a pirate ship cruising down the road is also... just genius. I just don't know why you refuse to call the game Porch Pirates!?!

Amazing entry!

Super well executed, best gameplay loop so far. Dual wielding the grappling hook and cannon was fun. Didn't take too long to figure out the longer you press the further it goes.  Also you only get busted at 3 cops, so plenty of time to figure it out.   Got a 47 high score.  Wasn't fast enough for the drone though.  Great job on that intro menu scene, so much better than the one I did while still iterating on the valem template. The hooks, are they line renderer + config joint?  Just great job! Also "Porch Pirate' may be the more select name.

I guess this was the most playable game I've played so far. Nice main menu design. Finally a proper working projectile gun and a grabling hook. The theme is a bit trippy but ok. Nice work!

Certainly a unique take on the theme.

Aiming was a little hard with the hook so maybe highlighting a package if the raycast hits it will make that a little easier.

I would have named it "Porch Pirate" .. good job

Love the ship going down the street

Though not so much Special Delivery as Special Thievery :)

I really loved the soundtracks used for the game that give an extra edge. I found the controls and objective of the game quite intuitive. I didn't try to see if there was actually a way to lose since every time I heard a siren I panicked and spent more time shooting at the police than picking up packages! For the grappling hook on the other hand, a little bit I found it difficult to aim and pick up parcels, unfortunately in VR when an object goes deep it becomes more and more difficult to try to lock onto it. But all in all it was a good experience, congratulations on the game!

Really great concept, took me a while to work out I was meant to be grabbing packages, I thought I needed to swing between the riggings hahah! Nice effects, really good looking game

Fun game. I like the soundtrack and the animations and the whole gameplay is really awesome.

Needed a while till i realized, that i could just grab one gun in the right and the other in the left hand.

If the topic of the jam wouldn't be specifically "delivery", it would be maybe a bit hard to understand that the goal is to collect packages. So maybe a little hint for that would be nice. (But it was the topic, so no worries about rating...)

Real great job, especially because you created it in only 2 days.

And when you think, you saw the whole gameplay, suddenly a drone appears^^

Great job! Really enjoyed dual wielding, and the balance of having to shift focus back and forth between the police and the drones. The audio cues helped a lot, and overall it was just really well executed.

Well developed jam game. I think the devs followed the jam theme: Have a specific unique idea and execute it without flaws. Nice one!

This is my favorite game I've played so far. Great execution. Simple and fun. It would be nice not to have to grip the weapons the whole time. Good UI/UX.

Game is very fun to play. Also very well rounded and has pretty much everything you need to be full game too. Drones pleasantly surprised me. Although my headphones were reversed and trolled me a little on that one lol The only real criticism I have is that packages can be hard to notice at first. It took me a sec to connect the dots in my head to use the grappling gun on them. This is not a huge issue, but from a UX standpoint, players can be kinda slow sometimes, so it helps to put clues under their nose more. For example, something simple as an arror or highlights around the boxes at first.

I followed the development on Valem's showcase channel in discord and it was just as fun as I thought it would be. Fantastic intro scene too! Really gave you the feeling of what kind of game you were going to get into. I saw the trailer and WIP so I knew what to do in the game, but if I were coming in blind, I think it would be hard to pick out the packages off the steps of the houses. I would also give the player a higher score or something for grabbing the little packages over the big ones because they speed by so fast that there is almost no point in trying to grab the little ones. I thought it was great though! Many packages were stolen by me, ARRRRR!

hahaha the concept is hilarious! Giving me some GTA vibes. Had to lose a few times before I figured out what I was doing. Not exactly a special delivery but I guess porch pirates are delivering something ;)
