This was an okay 2d platformer but in my opinion did not really stand out compared to some of the others in the contest. No sound and very basic aesthetics hurts it's overall score. Gameplay wise it redeems itself slightly by mechanics that work and decent use of theme. The dialogues were also a nice touch and their appears to be some kind of backstory.

I don't think this has potential to be a commercial game but I think you made a decent effort (minus lack of sound).

Cool - thank you for the review! I will try to do better next time in terms of aesthetics and sound. I tried not to use any assets other than the ones I created. My intentions were to create sounds and music in the last week but I never got around to it. I was too busy trying to make my terrible graphics look okay.

Thanks again for the review and for trying it out!

Hi, we played your game and had some feedback:

The game is really charming, the visuals are basic but cute and the dialogue has lots of character.

The game mechanics are really solid and fit the theme well, the controls are fluid and I don't think we had any issues with it.

The actual visual design could use a lot of work as the assets are all quite basic and the lack of sound loses it marks but with those additions this would be a really solid (and very fun) game.

Well done!

Thanks for playing and the feedback - it is really appreciated.

I feel exactly the way you do - the gameplay feels alright (albeit some platform moving bugs)  but the visuals need a ton of work.  And that's even before making the audio. The good part is that I at least like trying to make art.

Once again, thank you for the feedback!

Hi i tested your game it has a nice feel but can fall of and you keep falling for a long range and don't effect any health lost, but the rest is ok

Thanks for trying it out! I really appreciate it - I thought about fall damage but I couldn't get it to work reliably so I left it out this time around.
