After much googling, I have found the Discord for the University of Manchester Computer Science organization, and yes, they are talking about the jam.

EDIT: Once you get in go to the "Rules" channel and click the pencil and paper emoji underneath the rules. You'll get access to the other channels. Then under the "Society" category under the "general" text chat there is a "gamejam-quesions" thread. That's where you'll post any lingering questions.
