Didn't get very far, I'm afraid. Took me a while to realize the hook only works on a specific type of block, and then found it too hard to use.
Having a hard time getting anywhere... do I need to collect the hook somehow? Nothing happens when pressing E. :(

I like the B/W implementation, not easy to create a 1 bit game :)
I understand you didnt have time to complete it with sound and other aspects, but one thing you should always implement when creating these types of platforms is coyote jumping, the ability to jump off the ledge for 0.1 seconds or so, it gives you a better jumping experience.

this game is cool but the hook is hard to use
I am so bad couldn't finish the first level :D . Very nice art direction.
