good concept
Very fun game. Visual are good considering the time limit, but I didn't find it challenging at all
Goofy but great. Nicely polished for a 48 hour game!
that was a really fun game with good graphics and sound effects,
Really liked the game, good graphics and sound effect! I didn't understand the difference between the two doors so i just went randomly lol. I missed some player feedback when you get hit, maybe some screen shake or like a flash would do it .
Thank you for your feedback, you are right, it is unclear on what impact the door you choose has on the game.
pretty fun game. Nice music and sound effects and amazing 3d art. I think adding a health bar to the boss will make the boss feel like a boss. But overall well done!
Thank you for your feedback, and I totally agree :) We will take care of that in the next game :)
It was a fun game, the graphic was kind of scary but in the same time really good :)
Thank you for your feedback! :)
This is a really fun game but I do wish there were more levels :')
Thank you for your feedback, who knows. Maybe we will expand on all the suggestions here.
Congrats on making such a fun 3D game in only 48 hours! I loved the visuals and the concept too :). Good work!
Thank you for your feedback!
This game made me laugh. Does he say "HAhaha you're dead" - please tell me that was one of you guys. Nice touch. The intro into the title screen as well as the title screen was great. I enjoyed the visuals a lot, must have been a lot of work to model and animate everything. The screen shake made the gun feel more powerful. I only wish it was more obvious that the tree at the end was the 'Boss' - kind of like in some games where you get to the boss room and there's a big health bar at the top of the screen. Overall very nice job! each one of you put together a very cohesive and well designed piece. :D
Thank you for your feedback, yes it does.. that's my voice :D LOL
Yes, it took 38 hours, everything is handmade during the jam.
Great idea about that healthbar, something we missed out on, and we will get into the next game.
Nice, but rather short, game. It's always good idea to shoot some ghosts! I also really like the idea of two outcomes of each level, but I think it might have much deeper impact on gameplay. Also I don't understand this:
Are you a Beginner? No
Does your team consist of all Beginners? Yes
Thank you for your feedback!
Neither do I :) I think it should be like this..
The team as a whole is not a beginner (one person that I know has prior (little) experience), myself and, I think the people that did the sound/music are also new to these jams, but could be wrong there :)
Somewhere someone messed up maybe :P
The gameplay is solid, but the connection to the theme seems kind of surface level. The choice between doors really only change what king of enemy you'll be fighting. Also on the first blue level there is a rabbit hidden from the camera by a building.
Thank you for your feedback, it's absolutely true, that the theme is missing out on, in this game. We wanted to implemented more dialog, but just could not find the time to set this up. I think the spawn area for enemy's is now just the whole map, but maybe we could have blocked certain zones with a "blocker", so they could not spawn there.. Good idea, thanks.
The original idea, would involve more consequences for your choices, if you keep making bad decisions, and keep killing little fluffy sheep and bunny rabbits, you would become an evil individual. And would end up, playing as the end boss (the tree).
Well done on making a 3D game ! I know by experience it requires a lot of work. I'd say the game is pretty good on all aspects with great things and things that could be enhanced all across the board. The 3D are is cool and the amount of different assets is high for a jam that short ! The music fits the game very well. The shooting sound on the other hand gets annoying pretty quickly and could use some variations not to feel so repetitive. The gameplay is pretty standard but the mechanics all well executed. I see your inspiration from the theme so all good on that. Overall it's a really nice study game and pretty impressive for the jam duration, well done !
Thank you for your feedback, yeah we sure did learn a lot of stuff, and next time, we have to go faster, or make it less big. And we have to setup a project plan. Not it was like.. ok let's brainstorm build a concept. Then go build it! We did not plan on how long certain things could take, etc.
Really well made. I loved the art and the gameplay :P Nice job :)
Thank you so much for your kind words :)
tiny suggestions might be more post-processin, smooth edges and shadows. and also hp bar for minions and boss:)
great work!
Thank you for your feedback, you are right. Especially the tree boss, I had no idea how to kill it. I saw no hit indication, and no health bar. So after shooting it a couple of times, I thought that I needed to do something else, in order to kill it.
Definitely something that we will change in the future!
Wow, good amount of polish on this one, real nice job! Really like the introduction and the soundscape. Lighting was also a nice touch!
Couple of improvement directions:
- There's no indication of why would you pick a door over another. More incentive would be nice.
- Felt really annoying to have such a long reload time when you do single click fire rather than automatic shooting. Cater to those who don't like just holding the trigger please!
Thank you for your feedback.
You are totally right, we did not have enough time left, to finish the storry telling. That's something we have to do differently next time, planning :P
TBH, at first I did not even understand it myself when play testing. How to shoot faster. I could not kill the enemy's if I would not hold the button. Maybe, it would even be more fun, if we had made it, to charge the gun to a burst shot, when you hold the mouse :)
I love the amount of work that went into creating all of these assets. I think this is a LOT of 3d stuff to do in 48 hours. Kudos my friend!
Also - I liked the lightning choices with the doors and the enemies talking.
Thank you for your feedback, jep. I spent 38 hours only on designing, rigging and animating all of it. It was Crazy, I can tell you that :P
The levels are "Smacked" together in about 30 to 45 minutes, before time was up. :P
haha I totally feel you. I've only once ever done 3D for a 48 hour game jam and I ate a lot of bologna samwiches and energy drinks to "fuel" myself to not sleep or sleep as little as possible haha xD
Just a short FYI. Have you seen the alien blob? That's created by accident ;) While I was making the tree, the tree stump itself, already looked like this alien. So I tweaked a bit, and voila.. an extra enemy :) Sometimes it's easy.. Sometimes not so much ;)
I loved the intro. Clip me thru those 3d balls. Gameplay was easy and got repetitive, Not sure how to pick doors other than randomly.
Thank you for your feedback, We missed out on the storytelling part, due to a lack of time. The idea was, that you make "decissions" by choosing good or bad (blue or red). In the end you would end up playing as the endboss or as the human..
It's a good game! And I think it would be even better if you added some more meaning to the choice between red and blue colours!
Totally agree, thank you for your feedback.
nice!
